This irritates me. Different time zones for different players. I'm not saying this is not possible but dont' go automatically assuming that because they were awake at the same time they are ooc coordinating. It's possible it was scheduled IN GAME for these characters to be awake at this time, or it is possible they are from the same time zones. Don't make accusations unless you have evidence to back it up and if you do feel that it is an ooc coordinated thing, contact pd and let them look into it. You also cannot expect everyone to play around your time schedule.

As to the suggestion of making dragging a project, I am against it.

OH HELL YEAH! Up the tiredness to something WAY above 50%. I'm sorry... but the "hords" in Cantr usually ends at about 4 people. 4 people dragging and killing TOWNS... or less, true, which is absolutely RIDICULOUS!

The tiredness total should lessen for each person helping, of course.

Against dragging taking multiple ticks. It changes and unbalances too many sides of the game. Pretty much everything everyone but the op and dudel said.

cantr is not reality, its not an argument!

and I still consider it unbalanced that 4 organized people can drag off 20 people. Actually they must be OOC- organized, since they have all to be online the same moment, and that in a time where every normal human sleeps.


Couple things there:

First, I have noticed that we have people all over the world, and just because every normal human sleeps in your time zone doesn't mean they do on the other side of the world....

Second, it is fully possible in-game to say "Okay, we're going to attack at xxxx-x.x can we all be ready?" then do it. Doesn't mean it wasn't OOC I don't know since I don't have the particulars at this point but I've done that before long ago in a major attack.

Also, if we do up and/or change anything, could we please be a little more considerate about violent and bad characters than usual? And not nerf them even more than they already are now?

If a significant number of citizens carried crowbars, such an drag-attack would be way too easily thwarted. Meanwhile, the attackers have to have a coordinated bunch of people all online at the same time (very difficult and tedious ot do, if it's without cheaty-OOC planning) and they somehow have to have a locked building in the town, already prepared and waiting. That no one has any keys for. This stuff adds up to "nearly impossible", so the complaints are not really justified. Many things in Cantr are "ridiculous" by realistic standard, because they have to be due to gameplay reasons.

Do not forget, dragging the enemy and then killing him in a locked room is the ONLY remaining way to kill anyone in Cantr, outside of a lucky gank attack. We nerfed everything else away!

Let's consider that aspect this time, and maybe provide a meaningful alternative, for our evil chars to have available to them?

i have to say i agree with the different time zone idea, i mean, in english zone for example, you would hae people from australia, the uk and us and canada for examples streached right across the globe really so they dont hafta be connected ooc,
also it would have dependancy on strength values of the people involved, these 4 people woul have to have about the strength of better than average in town and be able to drag the most strongest person.
also some people could be on vehicles in some towns, i did have a character that survived and escaped a massacre in this way, they were on a vehicle when it was happening, long story short, he ended up living at least 80 more years. that massacre was done by 2 guys, but not everyone dies. also someone could have neouh healing food on hand and a crowbar, some people could be indoors come out and find out something is wrong before they can be dragged, the enemy could miss enouhg times that you do login hours later just in time to heal, i have had a few times surviving by the skin of my @$$ nearly getting diced and waking up in time to survive.

basically i'm saying that the dragging as is is balanced just fine, unless the people in the town are significantly weaker than your 4 thugs they may just wear them out before all get drgged and they hafta rest a few hours to continue ;)
