Then, I think my suggestion override the problem of the space. Has anyone read it? should I quote myself?
Summing up:
To show the characters into unlocked buildings in the People Page in the same way as people inside veehicles are currently shown
(or maybe better showing them upon demand, with an extra button, on the People Page or in the Buildings and Vehicles Page)
Make buildings a little better

Also... just being able to drag people from buildings still leaves the problem of clogging with resources... the best fix would allow a one button access (from the buildings/vehicles list) to a drop down list of all the people and resources inside an unlocked building/vehicle used to drag things out.

Changing it so people and storage are seperate weights wouldn't solve the problem a raiding group could fill a room with people and you would be stuck behind an impenitrable door.
I think they should set it up so if you try to walk into a full room the last person or corpse is pushed out the door they came in this would solve people dieing and people filling a room to lock you in but not dragging to many items in. For dragging too much weight in they should simply make it do a check before it drags to only allow you to drag if the weight is below whatever an empty human weighs after it is moved.

You should be able to access stuff close to the door, in other words the last person to enter or the latest resources dropped, provided that the door isn't locked.
But it's pretty hard to defend yourself if you don't have a lock, or if the enemy has a crowbar (or in the worst case, several). Barricading the door sounds like a natural way of defense. And if you don't have resources for it, you do it by leaning your back against the door and in a shack or a cabin you could assume that it might be narrow enough to push your feet against the opposite wall. Well, assuming that Cantrian doors open into the room and not outwards. Also in real life, you could go through the door with an axe, forcing the blocking person to retreat or to suffer heavy back injury, possibly paralysis. But then you would need a new door.
People will use what ever means they have to defend themselves against attacks. If some means are eliminated, other ones should be programmed in to give poorly equipped people some sort of a chance.
