Can we put containers in containers? :?

Or do you mean resources? Because you really should say what you mean...

Now, a simple question...

Why?

Why the hell can we put containers in containers but not tools? That makes no sense... :?

Ignore Pie.

And to rebut your statement, Pie, objects DO have dimentions already. You can't see them, nor do you know of them, but we do define them. At the moment, they mean nothing, but in the event it is programmed in the future to allow objects into containers, then the dimentions will (Or should) be used with such implementation.

As for now, only RESOURCES can go into containers. A container is an object, and can not go into a container. A tool is an object, and can not go in a container. EVERYTHING EXCEPT THINGS SAYING "xxx grams of" CAN NOT GO IN CONTAINERS.

So shove it. Before I go postal.

And being a Canadian, that MEANS something, cause we don't go postal! IT'S LIKE, NEAR IMPOSSIBLE! O.@

From what I hear about the state of your postal service, that's true.

I think that was the joke, West.

And it IS true. My Dad found that he can mail a letter from England to Canada faster than mailing a letter between Canadian towns.

Thanks for clearing that up Anthony. But I do have to say...

Could you not just say "NOTHING EXCEPT THINGS SAYING "xxx grams of" CAN GO IN CONTAINERS"

Double negatives piss me off.

Allow me to fix it, then.

"Everything, except things saying 'xxx grams of', can not go in containers."

Now there's no double negative. The except is now applied to the second idea, while "not" hovers by itself, as a single negative. Taadaa.

It's very inelegent. You are saying, "Everything can not go into containers."

Much prettier to say, "Nothing, except things saying 'xxxg of', can go into containers."

As far as the grammar police goes, Surly's just surly, not necessarily as grammatically enthusiastic as we like to see.

Wouldn't 'except' be a negative? Making it... a double negative? @Anthony

As I stated, 'except' is now within the second idea, between the commas. There are now two single negatives, one within each idea. Neither idea is a double negative.
