Siege Equipment

Postby Dragonslayer4ever » Sun May 08, 2005 1:23 am

Come on people I think this is needed in Cantr.

I'm thinking something along the lines of battering rams, trebutechs, catapults, scorpians.

You know. THe basic pillage and raze equipment.

*smiles* They can be destroyed themselves mind you and would pretty much work like machines. And the purpose of them would be to destroy buildings. It would bring war fair in Cantr to a whole new level. Tell me what you think about the idea and I will then get ideas of resources required.

This has been suggested many times before.

We reached the general consensus that this would be implemented with Cantr advanced to have a full-roam environment.

However, building destruction would be interesting- but probably tricky.

I'm thinking no. I know you just want to simulate war better, but I don't think wrecking infrastructure that's taken years to build is the answer.

Destroying infrastructure that's taken years to build is an essential element of any proper war...I see no problem at all with it in cantr.

On the other hand, I don't see any great need for military advancements, considering how cantr has never come near fulfilling the potential of it's existing system. At least, not in recent history.

I've always been an advocate of being able to destroy buildings the only thing I don't want to see destroyed are vehicles because they are just too hard to make at the time.
