I think that would cut into your character's memories...you can't view events that you've had mailled to you, I believe.

You don't actually have to wait if you push that button ;) ... If you push it, wait a few seconds, then the request for the report will have been sent to the server, and you can just continue playing ...

Industriallist, what is the purpose of having the events then?

Without those to view, my chars would have no memories. I have 15 of them, a family, a full time job......I can't remember names and details, and I can't have every little thing saved in a note on my chars person. Of course they are allowed to be viewed and the information used. It is just info your char already knows.

Wha...I'm talking about observed technical facts, not rules or moral imperatives.

It may have changed recently, but last time I actually looked into it the events page would not display events that were in a turn report you had had sent.

Did you mean that you're allowed to look at the turn reports? I figured, though I usually blur the memories a bit from way back. But you don't have dynamic naming in the turn reports...all men in their twenties are for all time identical.

Huh? I'm talking events as they appear in your turn report.

It may have changed recently, but last time I actually looked into it the events page would not display events that were in a turn report you had had sent.

I have never heard of this, so I don't know if it used to be the case, or is now.

Yes, you are allowed to view your turn reports. That's why we have the ability to retrieve them. And no, if you have not named someone in game, they are forever nameless on your turn report.

Industrallist, go click on the turn report and check for yourself right now. What it shows is the events your characters have seen, (from your characters perspective for each character) for historical reference or what not. I don't use em because I'm lazy and let my character's memories fade with me, unfortunately, that doesn't help when you're writing a biography (and dont have enough room on the comp to save it all)

You are certainly mistaken, and I'm pretty sure it's been like this for a very long while.

What do you all think I said?!?

I said that the event listing won't go back past your last mailled turn report. I claim to have observed this in the past, although I observe that it is no longer the case. I expect it changed with the event system, or something of the kind (remember that?)
So my point was void.

But you keep talking about the turn reports and their contents as if they had something to do with what I said...and to be clear, they don't. If you think they did, you did not correctly understand my (incorrect) point.

Seeing as my concern is in error, I'd like to see this suggestion implemented. It's not a lot of work, but they can pile up and get lost...especially if you're cut off from cantr access for more than 5 days.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, I just got the confusion. I thought you meant you weren't allowed to view the events that were mailed to you. You meant you could no longer see those events on the char page after they were mailed to you.

Okay, it's late. Too bad that can't be my excuse since it was early when I had my brain freeze. :P
