I wish that every building has its own description, as do the characters. In fact, it would be two descriptions, one for the exterior, and one for the interior.
External Description:
The system would be similar to that used for adding or editing signs. There would be a "special" sign that would be used to describe the building. Any character could create or modify the description of the building, by creating or modifying this special "sign", and it would be like working in a project (require signwriting tools, last a day and the other characters could see who is doing the work).
Inner description:
It only can be created or modified from inside the building. It works the same way as the external description.
The external description could be seen from the list of buildings. Next to each one there would be a button that would lead to the description page of the building.
The interior description could be seen from the page of the site.
What do you think?

Re: Descriptions for buildings
There are a lot of people who already use the sign system to add descriptions to buildings, though. While I can see why this would be more convenient as a proper "description system," I don't think it's actually necessary.

Re: Descriptions for buildings
There is a suggestion for Custom Descriptions for "everything", I guess buildings would sort under "everything" too?

For many reasons. Mainly, the signs are not viewable from the inside, and also the people who do not speak the same language interpret them as written signs and not as building descriptions. More reasons: 1) not all players do it or know they can do that. 2) if each building contains a description of medium length, the building list degenerates. And 3) the mix of signs and descriptions creates confusion.
