I was thinking of a situation like this in apprenticing or whatever:

Person A - Expert
Person B - akward
Person C - Akward

Person A would start a project for a Steel Axe. Person B would be able to join and learn from Person A. Person C might try to join, but he can't because Person A can only help one person at a time. If Person A were to leave the project, Person B would leave the project also.

You assume that there are always experts for each skill around, and they are always awake and willing to help whoever comes along and wants to learn, and never get bored with working on the same kind of project all the time for the benefit of others. Are we even talking about the same game?
