Broadcast Tower
Just a thought, dunno if its suggested or not but don't you find it annoying that you have to leave someone in a room to monitor the radio for messages etc, so what I propose is that you make a broadcast tower in the general area so people outside can hear the message. Also, make it so that the tower is connected to a certain receiver or whatever.

Re: Broadcast Tower
Hmm, interesting idea. Either that, or bring in handheld receivers/transmitters.. they could be handicapped by not allowing much range. Or let receivers/transmitters be build outdoors, on a pole.. similar to the above suggestion but not quite the same.
I'd love to see any of these happen.. it is very frustrating!

Absolutely. The fact that communication is so limited is probably why there haven't been absolutely HUGE empires, or something like that.

That's indeed very annoying, at least because one active char need to stay in the workshop to receive messages. In a smal community, all active people usually prefer to stay outside.
IMO, broadcasting towers would make to much noise. I still prefer the portable receivers.

Ok, I'm going to jump in and make the first negative post:
I don't think this is a good idea because it will make radios too good. It will remove the only disadvantage that radios still have, which is their inability to be useful when characters arn't around.
