I suppose if you smash the neck into pulp then it won't offer that much resistance. Most people have a bone knife so it can be assumed that they'd do the cutting with the knife and only use the war hammer to smash the bones. Or the limit could be set to hit 30 to rule out the war hammer and mace. Although that still leaves the rapier, that's a piercing weapon. >.>

Ew, totally gruesome...and I just have ate my lunch.

If you see a problem with a long list, aren't the weapons separated in categories? Cutting weapons would do it, but surely not a crossbow or an war hammer.

Maybe it's time to classify weapons into attach types: slashing, piercing and crushing - I don't think these would affect combat in any way, unless we wanted to make Cantr like an RTS, but they would be useful in situations like these.
