Here, here.
Notes and envelopes should age and yellow over time. That would show in the objects list both as title color and list order. Things written on ancient paper are always more noticeable and valuable.
Editable yellow paper would become a commodity. That would lead both to paper commerce, trash bin scrapping and a lot more of paper recycling.
By puting editable notes into a recycle bin (maybe just an envelope named "Recycle"), they would be randomly insta-recycled when creating or copying notes.
Making stacks of new editable notes would be a project that would use some basic resources, but people in a hurry could just pick a paper bin and put a bunch of notes into their Recycle envelope.

What about adding new field "creation_date" to database table? I like the idea of aging everything inlcuding notes. Combining notes into books (not as easy as use of envelopes) could slow down the aging process a bit.marol wrote:It is impossible to determine how old note is, though it is possible to determine note ordinal number.

On this note, I suggest that people who write notes without any writing tools should not be able to use any HTML formatting tags -- the lowest level of writing implement, maybe a piece of charcoal or lead (we'll assume the level below that is fingerpainting with dung
), could only have <b>; <i>; and <u> tags. The second level -- a wooden pencil made with lead or charcoal and a knife or a quill with an ink-pot, could then have <font size face>; <table>; <ul> and <ol>; <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, etc... The final level, which would be multicoloured crayons or a quill with a set of inks and reasonable quality paper could have <img>; <font color>; and all other color attributes enabled for all tags.
I also propose that the style attribute is disabled, and the <marquee> tag, among other annoying tags are disabled as well.
This would add a touch of sophistication to notes that have pictures and colours, and would stop newspawns from suddenly creating beautiful annotated maps with their bare hands.
