Migrating Cantr Wiki to Wikia.com
Moving the Cantr wiki to Wikia.com would do 2 things:
1) reduce load on cantr's server
2) promote the game through visibility
Though some control may be lost since it'll be on another site, the extra exposure may bring in more players.

My point was that if this player is making a suggestion that they feel should be implemented, they should try to explain explain everything instead of expecting me to get off my lazy arse and look at the website myself (which I already did).
I personally think the wiki has damaged the game, so if we move it to a more public site and it gets trashed, it won't be any great loss as far as I'm concerned. I support this suggestion.

For those who haven't seen wikia.com yet, it's basically a community of wiki pages for various topics. Rather than just having an article about the subject like on wikipedia.org, wikia.com has mini-encyclopedias of specialized topics.
There are several online games listed on the main page of wikia. The list is still small so I figured that just having Cantr listed there would be a start in promoting the game. Also, without the wiki sitting here on Cantr's server, there would be less bandwidth and processing consumed, hopefully reducing some lag.

The control of the main wiki should be kept here. Something about Cantr added there would be okay, like general information that might get people interested, but I think that the wiki should be kept here because of all the specific information about weapons and tools and resources and clothing and such.

Yeah, a lot of copy and paste.
Have you guys seen the wikia for Cantr!? Some of it is a bit funny, I admit...but its horrible! Who ever wrote that has serious issues, what with the fake quotes and all.

This has been suggested before, but I doubt this will work. The automated db dumps require some access to the back-end, afaik. Plus we can roll back if something breaks (like last month).
Only thing I don't like about the current setup is that languages are mixed, resulting in name-space fights and cross language 'pollution' (what links here, some templates, some categories).
