Search box for Objects

Postby SekoETC » Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:56 am

Don't tell me to use the browser search box, that thing doesn't work when the page hasn't loaded fully. It's HIGHLY IRRITATING when you know something is at the bottom of the page and it takes twenty minutes to get that far.

So please, add a search box at the top of the page. There's already one for projects, why not for objects as well?

Why don't you just wait for it to load?

If we add a search box, it will only slow down the game even more.

Come over here and see how long it takes. It's not a flash, it's not even two or three flashes. We're talking about tens of minutes. Usually I never see the end of the page (town storage room being in question) but I could run a test, I could record how far it has loaded after every 5 minutes. Then you'd see.

I don't doubt that it takes a long time. But a search box will only make it take longer. You'll put the thing in the box, it'll take ten minutes to find it. No help, and there'll be yet another pointless gadget suffocating the game.

Type the word you're looking for in Microsoft Word, and use the Find window?? :?
Sorry, but you need to be a little more specific. I'm not sure what you're saying.

No, if you hit ctrl +F in a browser, it will pull up a search/find box for you. It does it in IE and Firefox at least. Type the word into the box and it will find it in the browser window for you. No need for MS Word at all.
