See if envelope has contents without opening

Postby SekoETC » Thu Sep 21, 2006 7:31 pm

Naturally you'd notice the thickness, ain't that right? Most logically it would be based on the size in kb's for what it takes to store what's inside, or then the amount of letters or lines. But if that's too complicated then simply base it on the number of notes inside.

0 to 1 would be seemingly empty envelope
2 to 6 would be a thin envelope
7 to 15 would be fairly thick envelope
16 to 26 would be a fat envelope
Any more than that would be bulging, bigass, a parcel or what the hey. Mainly I would like to have some indication on which one of my three maps envelopes (exaggerated but it might be reality for some) is the one I've been stuffing the maps in. Therefor if I choose to put the emptier envelope inside the thicker one, I don't need to check inside to see which one to put where. (This is to spare people the trouble of having to dig through two envelopes to reach something they might need.)

There have to be higher priorities than saving you 30 seconds... surely!

It has taken me bloody hours to sort through my notes because this shithole of a computer cannot load down to where the "handle multiple notes" button is, so just STFU, please, if you don't have anything better to say.

i can see one main problem would be having multiple envelopes with identicle titles. if a person is somewhere they can safely drop thier good envelopes and then make a trashvelope to stuff all the others in it helps though i can see the difficulty with a tempermental computer in that respect.
although this does seem to be an interesting idea, couriers would be able to charge rates dependant not only on disance but also thickness of envelope just like the real postal service does. and when someone recieves a big fat envelop they can be all excited that there is a bunch of stuff for them from some distant friend. this also would open up the possibility of making thicker envelopes harder to drag under doors either requiring assitance to drag or time.

Dang This 5 gram Envelope! I just can't drag it! ... That would just be silly... If you can drag a corpse through a closed door... an envelope should never be a problem, no matter how stuffed.

well ya no problem as long as you have the key to that door
i was referring to doors you have no key for, otherwise you may as well just walk in and drop it on the floor

I really don't think this is a very important suggestion, and I doubt it would help you speed up you're game play to any great degree.

My computer's no good either, it takes several minutes for each page to load.

You can't ask for others to solve that problem.

I think it'd just be another pointless add on, and would probably slow down the game anyway.
