Crosshair had the coolest idea, that you could hang dead people for shows and put a sign on them saying "I stole this and that" or something like that. Then everyone would see it.
Of course you could just lynch a person and leave them hanging in there, but it might be cool to put out for display those old corpses that tend to be left in jail cells.
My additional idea is that people could also hit on these corpses for target practice (and display of loathing), but they would then quickly deteriorate and eventually fall apart.
Dragging to gallows could be just like a normal dragging project, exept that the starting and people joining should be displayed to avoid people secretly hanging the town leader, or something like that, and that people could choose to drag the opposite way in case they want to save the person that's about to get hanged. Now that we'll be getting machine locks, I suppose the gallows could be locked as well, but they shouldn't come with a lock in default.

I'm for it, as long as the "building/structure" of the gallows is coded to be like vehicles....so the poor sap up on the rope would be able to see and hear what's going on around him/her.
That's my only complaint about the "prison" approach currently available using a locked building. Others can't see my death-blows and proclimations of punishment!

I'd rather be humiliated in public than stabbed to death in some secluded back room. At least there would be a possibility for last words, provided that you won't be killed instantly. After that... what does it matter when you're already dead?
I don't think hitting corpses through the old way is possible anymore, but hanging them from a rope (however macabre) would be a logical way to keep 'em standing after they're dead. Great way to scare others from doing crimes, and also likely to raise discussion among the public as well.
