Healing food heals when eaten for "dinner"

Postby Doug R. » Mon Jun 19, 2006 9:01 pm

When a character eats a dual healing/nourishing food for his daily "dinner," shouldn't it actually heal them according to how much they ate? Assuming that they're injured, of course.

In the case of spinach, you only eat 120 grams or so for dinner, but you'd need to eat several thousand grams to produce a healing effect. So each dinner would be WAY less than 1%.

Less then that even. Damage is actually measured in smaller increments then percents. It is possible to be 0% injured, but still need healing food to restore you to full health (because you might have a few tenths of a percent of damage).

I have a similar thought and I'm not sure if it's been suggested before, so I'll put it here to avoid starting a new topic. Why couldn't every food have a nourishing value. I mean, it seems kinda stupid that one of my characters is running around with over 2000 grams of tomatoes and yet is starving to death.

I guess I've only had charries eating spinach that were 70 - 80% injured. 167 grams wouldn't have helped them too much.

sorry.
