Yes, there are exceptions to the alphabetical rule that throw me sometimes as well, but most of those make sense (knife / bone knife, hammer / stone hammer, etc )
As for Ctr-F .... I think it works on all browsers. I don't know if the good people at Opera mucked that up or not. The flashiness scares me away.
