Walls would be like buildings, so let's say you walk into Sjoftich, and Sjoftich has a city inside a wall, with two cottages outside. You would see:
Joe's house (cottage)
SlaveCo. storage unit (cottage)
Sjoftich City (walled town)
If you enter Sjoftich city, there would (probably) be buildings inside. It would be like building a building within a building, except it's a wall with buildings inside. Hope that made sense.
Now, if these walls were locked (lock the wall? Go figure.), the only way to get in would be to pick the lock or destroy the wall. You'd destroy the wall using a siege engine. It would be a vehicle, but instead of just driving it around like a car, you can also start a project to destroy a building with it. If you destroy the wall, all the buildings within the wall are now in Sjoftich and the inhabatants can be slaughtered at the will of the invaders
Guns would just give the game a bit more sense. We've already got power tools, cars and bulldozers, why not AK-47's?
Trains are another idea I'd like to see in game. You would build a train station in two different locations, and anyone could travel between them at will. With locks and guards, it could become a business. Such and such's train company (founded in <insert-year-here>).
And you should be able to build big temple's for kicks. And giggles. And fanatical religions that you use walls, guns, trains and siege engines to take over the world with. Than Cantr gets an official religion. Enforced by M-16's. Isn't that nice?
