Hahaha! You sure it rots? I always thought rotting was just something made up by thieves to explain how things just vanish from the ground.

Nope. Food and some other perishable resources have always rotted.

From my experience, pile of fresh dung will dissapear almost completely in about 2 days, if not sooner.
