No it isn't... If it was never discovered, we would be dead because of it... Everyone functioned well enough without it. Relations between peers were stronger in those times due to less time being spent in front of idoit boxes and computers...

If you want to remain stagnent, then journey to a small town where you can collect wood and bananas all day and sit under a tree when you're done. :D

And while you're in your hot tub I'll invade your town while playing the real form of Cantr from my underdeveloped banna picking town.

Besides, this will NEVER happen in Cantr.

One could argue that there is already electricity. Cars need car batteries.

But yes, it took us about fifty thousand years of being around (well, to be truthfull, I don't know, that's just my conservative guess) before we got ourselves around to harnessing electricity for anything usefull.

As for your little fantasy there, Misty, I do not see it happening. I personally feel that the Cantr world will never really allow for any sort of sustainable society in which such a situation as that could devolop.

*pouts her lower lip* Fantasy? Only in Cantr.

I was under the impression that there wasn't a parellel to the real world in Cantr, as in, the age doesn't match any known world? So it really doesn't matter how long it took us humans to discover electricity, heck, it already has been discovered in Cantr *smiles*

Cars don't run without batteries, wires, and those power creating thinggy's that my Dad is always replacing on our cars.

I still think it would be great fun for Cantr, and a vast improvement to have power stations. Being able to make a big town project out of it, and making deals with neighboring towns etc.

I may be just a young lady, but I have a sneeking suspicion that if it's a problem, it is probably a problem with the programming, and not how it really fits in with the Cantr theme :D And that I can understand, because my BF is into cgi programming, and he tells me it would be a mother to do.

Cantr doesn't need electricity - a lot of things that need electricity (aluminium? cars? etc.) already exist - as for powering machines in a town (for faster results?), a water/wind wheel would seem much more fitting.
