Out of curiosity...

Postby Nick » Fri Nov 28, 2003 8:20 pm

Who here is a french player, and who here has french characters? I have my settings set to french so that I can view my translations, although all of my 14 characters are english. I am just interested in seeing how the french population is composed. I wouldnt be surprised if the majority of french characters were english ones with a translator.

I have one character on the french island
"America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between. "

Bonjour !

I'm German, but I play a French character without the help of an automatic translator. Of course there are still lots of mistakes in my French, but I guess the French will just have to bear it.

Well, as I'll move house next week, I don't know when I'll have a connection again (you know, asking for a new phoneline and all the stuff...) So, I prefer to wait before entering the department of languages' staff.

Ok, I think I have some free time, now, so, why not? What shall I do?

I am a Québec Francophone, living in Montréal. I speak both French and English fluently, German reasonably well and can get by in basic conversational Esperanto. I think I registered as a French user.
I have two characters in each of the French, English and German sectors.
As far as your request for translators is concerned, I believe the Cantr staff should have my completed application form, by now. I'll be glad to help out, of course.
On behalf of all francophones, I wish to thank you for your help in opening up this lovely game to us.

Go to the OOC departments page, and apply.
Glad to see some REAL french people are taking up this spot, not just a Canadian who can hardly speak it.
