What happened?

Postby Dipsy » Sun Mar 07, 2004 3:37 pm

Hello french people,

I travelled all the way from the dutch area to the french area.
Now I finally arrived at a place with food and buildings. everybody seems to be murdered. What happened?? There are twelve bodies of dead people. The city is old because there are many projects and some of them started in the year "500".
There is nobody left except for a guy in a home who seems to be inactive.
Sorry for my curiousity and that I can't write this in french. I could let it be translated but then it will be almost unreadable for you.

I think this happens cause "French" players let their characters die... You know, Frenchmen are weird people...
I have several French characters, and everywhere they go, they find corpses... (when it's not raving madmen!)

are there many french players? Or is the french area and players number small?
It looks very small from wot I've seen so far.. a lot of woods though. And hills without food

Well, we're not a big army, but since I came here, it seems that more people came... (I don't mean I made them come, hey! )
Anyway, there's not only French players in the French area: you can find there Québécois, of course, but also some other nationalities...

 When I say "more people", it's really relative!
When you've been all alone during a long time and you see 3 or 4 newcomers, that's really lots of people!

There are only 20 french characters in total... its not exactly a booming community. Doing better than the Russians, however.

 20?!

That means that either all french player play in other language areas, or that there just aren't that many french people playing cantr. I wonder why though.

But out of curiousity... how much russians are there in the russian area?

Dipsy, you're confusing players and characters ;) ...

1) There are 20 French-speaking *characters*, meaning that they must be playing in the French area :)
2) Your *character* should find out in the game what happened with those dead bodies, not you as a *player* in here ;) ... (It is not disallowed to talk about it here, but it is really hard to keep playing your character as if (s)he doesn't know anything when you do ...)

I think you misunderstand me Jos  ,

I ment, that it was kinda of a schock for me that there were only 20 "french characters." With this information I figured out,

-either there are only a few "french players" all playing in the french areas.
-or the french player mostly play their "characters" in other language areas (probably english) and thats why there aren't any "french characters".

And about the death bodies, it's kinda hard figuring out what actually happened when there is nobody around to talk to  . And I don't think my character can use the information what caused the death people, since I (my character) believe the bodies have been there for a long, long time.

The only good thing comming from so little french players, is that they don't have to listenen to my bad french.. hehe.

Well, I'm French and have characters both in the French and English areas...
Though I enjoy playing there  there are very few people in the French area and it's not always easy...
I think it's the reason why the players let their French characters die.

Jeez, just started my first french character (my french is pretty bad right now - I expect he'll be a mute)...

dammit no wonder they're all dead. my guy spawned in an area that is pretty obviously in deep, deep woods (all three locations to get him out are obviously woods as well....

En effet, la région française semble plutôt boisée !
Actually, the French area seems to be rather wooded!

I agree, there are hardly any hills. And when you arrive at a hill, it appears to have no food. It's all woods, and animals.
