I'm researching Latin squares and have no access to the following papers here in Australia. I would be very grateful if someone could help me in obtaining even one of them. My @yahoo.com email is: the_empty_element.

The first one I do not know even what the full journal name is.

- Frolov, M. "Sur les permutations carrés." J. de Math. spéc, 1890.
Volume: 4. Pages: 8-11 and 25-30.

The full journal name of the next reference is: Comptes Rendu de l'Association Française pour l'Advancement des Science Naturel. Also the year may be 1901.

- Tarry, G. "Le problème des 36 Officers." Assoc. Franç. Paris, 1900.
Volume: 29. Pages: 170-203.

I suspect that the next one will be impossible to get, but I might mention it just in case.

- Sade, A. "Enumération des carrés latins. Application au 7ème ordre. Conjectures pour les ordres supérieurs." 8 pp. Marseille, France: Privately published, 1948.

http://math-doc.ujf-grenoble.fr/ (English version available) Might help, they have a number of french journals listed, some available online as PDF format, some of those even dating back to the 1800s. It's what I was forwarded to when I tapped those journals into my Uni catalgue search, although I wasn't able to find those journals specifically (not that I looked all that hard). Good luck :)

Thanks hallucinatingfarmer. While I didn't get the papers themselves, I managed to get some reviews of the papers, which shall help me out.

Have you tried Mathworld.wolfram.com?
Or you could try searching the actual book at bookfinder.com.

Checked the library at my university. It doesn't have them. Those books must be pretty obscure.

Thanks guys, I think they are a bit obscure. Keep in mind they're not books... they're papers. Generally you search for the journal, and if you are successful in finding that then look for the certain volume then page number.
