)O.K...... I am going to tell EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU why I act the way I do. AND I am going to tell you some things you DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT PIE!!!!

OK.... cleaning my room... why don't i do it? Its becous, when looking at the job i have to do, for some reason, i feel overwelmed by the task at hand. I feel as if The task at hand is bigger than it really is. And really, my room IS REALLY MESSY!!! So, just to tell you... when you make a really big post, i feel overwelmed by the amount of words... so.. if you want to talk to me.. use SMALL POSTS.

OK.... why am i so silly you ask? I'ts probably becous i have A.D.D., Atention deficite disorder, witch means i have a small atention span.. witch you probably alredy know all about...... but this is fore everyone els.. who don't know me at all (Witch is probably.. most of you... )

Ok.... i like using Ok... it just gets me started on another sentence, and makes me write.. and its easy to write.. so it makes the task of writing feel smaller to me.

I don't do my homework, becous I'm not interested in it. I like history, so i do my history homework.. but unfortunatly... i don't have a history class in school right now.... and thats why i don't do my homework. Also.. I LOVE HISTORY!!!!! IT IS SOO KEWAIL!!!!!! Just to see how EVERYTHING FITS TOGETHER!!! ITS JUST SO COOoEIL!!!!

OK... whenever i see a really good movie.. like serenity... I feel like i want cantr to be like that, i wonder how it could be like that, and i come back to cantr and i try and inritch cantr. CANTR IS THe PERFICTEST THING EVEREST!!!!!!!

Ok.. right now... I am cind of bored.. so.. if all this sounds like usles rambling... its probably becous its all usles rambaling.

No its not Thetaris. That's just ignorant of you man. I went in for my ADD test, (and trust me when i was younger I was the epitimy of naughty), and they said I was just a little prick. (not in those exact words of course. It may have something to do with the fact I kicked the nurse in the shins when she told me I didn't have ADD).

Seriously, no joke.

No, ADD is a problem, but too many jump to the conclusion that must be the problem for every kid that acts out, when there's really an array of issues that have to be looked at in each particular case. Most teachers/etc. just want to label it and move on quickly. I believe it's diagnosed far too often, but it really is a problem for some kids.

But that's how the media can influence society when they think they're on to something.

Media- "Hey, ADD is a serious issue! We have all these facts and things to prove it!" (I don't think they often understand that you can't prove anything... high correlation to them is proof...)

General public- "Really? Oh, no! that has to explain my spoiled brat's refusal to do anything I ask of them! I must take them to a psychiatrist to get them diagnosed so there's an excuse other than bad parenting!"

Right! What she said.

I know so many kids who have ADD that its either a pandemic or the parents are, as stated above, looking for an excuse.

Has anyone else heard of the studies that say ADD is caused by kids playing video games when they are young? I'm pretty sure I've heard that somewhere.

I personally don't think ADD is really a problem unless you let it be (although I met one kid who was ADHD to the max, he literally couldn’t sit still for more than 30 sec. and that was when he was drugged up to the legal max. but those type of rare cases are the only exception). I've never been diagnosed with it, but ADD runs in my family. I do know that I can't concentrate on most things for more than about 20-30 min. It's been years since I sat through a whole movie. So I suspect that I do have a mild case of ADD. I handle homework by using Cantr to break up my homework into smaller bits.

I write for 20 min, then Cantr for ten, then read a chapter or two for another class, then Cantr for 5 more minutes, work on my math for 20 min. then play a round of pool, etc. My only trouble with this comes when I start jumping back and forth between the forum and the game and don't do any homework in between.

I've never heard of that study, but now I'm interested in looking up some articles on it...

ADD is something that people can work and deal with and don't always have to be drugged for... there are plenty of techniques that teachers etc. can use too that help...

It is over diagnosed. That is true. And parents do use it as an excuse. But it shouldn't be!

And Coramon, do you know the definition of sarcasm lighten up a little. Even if you disagree with something, don't argue it by putting down the author, attack the topic.

Well Pie that is very big of you to come out and say those things and I hope you know, Teasing aside. We all like when you are around. And since you have been with us for a lil while, we are getting used to your posts.
