LOL Yeah I for some reason had a "response to thread" notification in my inbox - though I don't remember watching this particular thread. Just felt the urge to drop by and see what was going on on the ol' Cantr board.

Ahh the good old days. I miss Cantr

*resists the urge to start up an account*

im Economic Left/Right: 1.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 4.72

Some of these questions are unfiar though, and improperly biased in one direction.

Like how companies only social responsibility is to deliver profits to shareholders, nobody no matter how economically conservative can strongly agree to that. I consider myself to be farther right economically, but left socially, than this chart gives credit for.

Meh.

I did this ages ago, and didn;t like it then. it subsumes politics into two binaries - right/left and authoritarian/libertarian.

Both binaries are increaisngly pluralistic, and answers to many issues (aprticularly the environment) in recent times no longer fall easily along those axis.

Anyway, I did it again and came out pretty much the same:
Your political compass:
Economic Left/Right: -9.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -9.28

Which is a bit more extreme libertarian than last time.

I've always been a bit miffed by this test. Politically, I'm a strong socialist, and belive in state (or, preferabbly, local government) provision and regulation for many things.
Yet, at the same time, I have a very deep and intrinsic mistruct for authority, and hierarchical control in any form, particularly national governments. The latter seems to come out stronger in this test.

Whoa!Centrist!Hahaha!

I have a mistrust for national state, specially if it has the power over everything.Individuals must have power, not only a despot, or a governament or their representatives.Direct relations between the nation and the power, now!Let's go Switzerland!

I got up/down -1.62 and right/left -2.10

I guess that means I am a centrist with slight socialist leanings.. I guess that I agree with this....... I kinda think the goverment should in internal affairs only mess with people lives to enforce the rules and health care. Basically I am happy with how my country is run Now :D

I don't see the point in these tests. People know what their affiliation is, they don't need it to be told to them by a very, very biased internet quiz.

They can be kinda revealing though. I agree with my test. I have a mainly centrest veiw with slight socialist and Libertarian leanings. I guess thats why I agree with the more libral of the parties i my country. I feel they whont over react to terrorism and get rid of those un-constitutional laws about ant-terrorism (which by the way appear to have imprisoned a number of non-terrorists)
