Hey--I know Photoshop very well. What version are you using? What I'd do is select the layer with the type, (Ctrl+click on the layer in the layers palatte), and screw with the levels. I'd do that, then mess with the Hue/Saturation tool while it was still selected. Or, I'd select the type the same way, then using the gradient tool, use the same gradient you used for the background--except inverse it. That way, as the background gets darker, the e-mail address gets lighter. Or, send it to me (samantha@funkyandspunky.com) as a PSD file, and I'll do it and send it to you. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to graphics, so don't worry, I won't screw it up.
