Mysterious Video online - NEW CLIP!

Yes, this is another thread on Firefly/Serenity but this warrants a thread of its own.

Just today, supposedly Ifilm found a really cool, and shocking video on a file sharing network and posted on their site here;

They claimed they knew nothing of Firefly/Serenity but fans seeing the beginning of this video will know that R. Tam must stand for River Tam and the actress at the end looks a hell of a lot like Summer Glau (the person that plays River Tam in Firefly and Serenity).

Now Universal has claimed that this isn't from them or is it from Serenity. And this clip didn't appear in the movie I saw on 6/23. So is this a clever fan video using a look a like Summer Glau. Or a very clever marketing scheme by Universal (remember Matrix and Halo 2 marketing schemes). Is this Whedon and the cast playing a joke?

Update:

It appears the insignia at the beginning of the clip with the text appears in both trailers of Serenity in flash frames. And on certain objects in the movie (Simon's baton in the beginning of the movie (also in the first trailer) that he uses to help River escape).

I am beginning to think that this is a marketing campaign. A very wierd one but things are starting to point in that direction. Universal still denies any involvement. Some have also speculated it could be a leak of a deleted scene from Serenity.

what exactly was this made for? This hardly looks like an audition tape, especially the first link (which by the way was wicked cool)... maybe something they just did for fun? Some lost footage?

a little digging into this, it seems it is in deed a viral marketing for Serenity. Appears to be a series of short clips of the sessions held with River, the latest clip clearly being the first session... Pretty Clever on Universal's part, free advertising.

Right now, its a show on Sci Fi channel on friday, it like started a few weeks ago on there...I'm sure its old but its the only chance I can see. And, its about to be a movie, lol.
