This is just something I found that I thought would be neat to put on the forum, since if it wasn't for lego's we would not have this great game.

Lego so great. Let kids be creative and such.
I found a peace of lego in my twenty year old de-humidifier last night. I then put it back.

for those with fairly powerful computers - go to the Lego website and get the Lego designer... You know you want to...

Yeah, maybe there's a new version of that, but the last version I tried was missing so many bricks. I tried to duplicate one of my already existing space models and quickly found out that I could not because some key pieces were not in the program.
But, if you're building stuff with just the basic kinds of bricks, and aren't using a lot of specialty pieces, it may be just the thing.
Just speaking from my own experience. Try it out for yourselves.

Teehee... I've read that before and I thought it was so awesome that the game was kinda based off of that...

I used to build all sorts of awesome stuff with them!
And now I miss those days... *sighs and goes to find her legos*

While searching for a carbonite Han Solo to hang on the wall of the new house, I came across this.

Legos! I have a huge tub of 'em.
I actually built a THEME PARK, believe it or not. You could mount the little Lego people inside cars, and using a wonderful thing called gravity and inertia (Spelling?), I got the wonderful coaster to work. Sure, it took three seconds, but it was cool. Especially when it crashed and I had to rebuild it, never getting it "Exactly" right.

Legos were the best back in the day. Today they suck and are priced too high. I remember the Knight and Dragon Legos, Pirate Legos, City Legos, and Space Legos. Those were the original ones and the best.

I have loads of LEGO - it's the most wonderful thing ever.
But recent sets...
ergh!
It all went down hill after they brought out the different faces, then all manner of weird shaped bricks...
There are so many 'special' bricks in each set that aren;t found anywhere else and only work in one way, that it's almost impossible to experiment with making other things out of the models...
And it's WAY too expensive
*looks for a time machine

Yes, I agree with you that the Lego is not of the same calibre as the old stuff. Still, having come into possession of some of the newer Lego, particularly the Star Wars Lego, I have found that these specialty pieces are a lot more versatile than you appear to give them credit for. I very rarely have used these pieces for their intended use. Now the Harry Potter and the Spider Man lego... I haven't used so I can't say anything about that stuff. As for the lego men, well, I guess they have gotten a bit hoky. But I believe you can still get the normal Lego men. And if not there's always eBay
