I decided to post this topic when I saw someone else that said they had a huge 'to-read list'.

All I can say is Ditto.

My current to-read list is huge, so here it is:

God Emperor of Dune -- Frank Herbert
Heretics of Dune -- Frank Herbert
Chapterhouse: Dune -- Frank Herbert
Moby Dick (maybe, the book is huge and has a lot of rambling) -- Herman Melville
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea -- H.G. Wells
Journey to the Center of the Earth -- H.G. Wells
War of the Worlds -- H.G. Wells
The Catcher in the Rye -- (Help me out with this one...)
Airframe -- Michael Crichton
The Terminal Man -- Michael Crichton
I, Jedi -- Dunno
Some Kevin J. Anderson books

I'm pretty sure there are some more that I can't recall.

Anyways, let me know what's on your list.

I had a huge list a while ago but I have forgotten them. Luckily I live near one of those stereotypical secondhand book stores. It has hidden rooms full of books AND a little old man. So I should be able to find them once I get some money.

But the only thing I can think of right now is Kafka, must read lots and lots of Kafka.

Thud - Terry Pratchett (when it comes out of course)
The Wasp Factory - (can't remember)
Annotated Flatland - (ditto)(annotated by Ian Stewart)
Flatterland- Ian Stewart.

That's it. I've read all the other books I can think of.

That reminds me, I need to read the last 3 or 4 Pratchett books. Having no money sucks. I've not had access to free books since I left school, so I have to buy them.

I enjoyed War of the Worlds. Exactly why I refuse to see a film that is called by the same name, but set in America...

And 'Catcher in the Rye' is a good book. Haven't read any of the others.

I'm always in the middle of a bunch of books at a time, currently it's:

The Elements of Style by William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White (for like the 20th time)

The Lost World by Michael Crichton (also for about the 20th time)

The History of Warfare by John Keegan (3rd time)

and

Anatomy of Human Destructiveness by Erich Fromm (2nd time)

Catcher in the Rye was a little disturbing for me, but it was good all the same.

Basically, the only book that I have to read is Eldest when it comes out in August.
