Which, incidently, may be translated otherwise (of course it can - it always will be, always already is otherwise translated, or, rather, never translated, regardless of language) than 'there is nothing outside the text', into something which might convey a slightly different deference to text

Wash: If she doesn't give us some extra flow from the engine room to offset the burn-through, this landing is going to get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define interesting.
Wash: "Oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: [on the ship intercom] This is the captain, we have a lil' problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then.. explode.
I haven't actually seen Serenity yet but I saw this bit on Youtube and now I definitely wanna see it.
Also, from Angel episode 3 in season 1, I definitely lol'ed. Angel just saved a girl and Spike is watching them from a rooftop, dubbing the scene.
Spike [as Rachel]: How can I thank you, you mysterious, black-clad, hunk of a night thing?
Spike [as Angel]: No need, little lady, your tears of gratitude are enough for me. You see, I was once a bad-ass vampire, but love and a pesky curse de-fanged me. Now I'm just a big, fluffy puppy with bad teeth. [This part is said with a lisp.] [Rachel sways closer to Angel; he steps back, warding her off with his hands.] No, not the hair! Never the hair!
Spike [as Rachel]: But there must be some way I can show my appreciation.
Spike [as Angel]: No, helping those in need is my job. And working up a load of sexual tension and prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough!
Spike [as Rachel]: I understand. I have a nephew who's gay, so...
Spike [as Angel]: Ah. Say no more. Evil's still afoot ... and I'm almost out of that nancy-boy hair gel that I like so much. Quickly! To the Angelmobile — AWAY!

From what I've seen, definitely Firefly. It's got depth. Lately I've been watching Angel, and the characters mostly fail to touch me. There is some good dialog in each episode but the plot lines are usually pretty predictable. Many series have the problem that if some character comes along, they are either evil and end up being killed, or evil and become a reoccurring villain, good and end up getting killed by bad guys or good and end up becoming a reoccurring information source / helper. There are often good guys that turn out to be bad guys and occasionally bad guys that have to work together with good guys. Firefly has a lot of continuity but season 1 of Angel doesn't have much of that. People may be affected by what happened in the previous episode but they should be more traumatized by all the stuff they go through. I could talk more about this but it would be a sort of a thread hijack so maybe I'll stop.

Season 2 is much better. And season 3 is looking more promising too, although i'm only on episode 5.
And to get things back on topic....
(From Men Behaving Badly)
Dorothy: Why do you have to fart in bed Gary?
Gary: It's what blokes do
Dorothy: Why do you think women don't do it?
Gary: Lack of confidence

Seko, Did you follow me? So rude to follow my FireFly. Just fooling.
FireFly best show ever. (unfortunatlly we only got 15 episodes)
Angel sucks ass, but I love to watch it. Too bad they cut it short.
Sorry for all of you watching it new. It kinda dead>>>>>>|ends. (dumbasses again giving no end)
What really pisses me off is that Star Trek was killed off. Fucking assholes can suck my dick.
Gene would be pissed.
(last episode was shit)
Driver, killed too.
FOX needs to go fuck itself.
I know I know I know. Angel was WB and Eterprise was UPN at the time.
At least WB did an OK job ending Charmed and 7th heaven.
Then we get this writer strike. Should have fired the whole lot and hired new blood.

Now for quotes.
"
It's not a good way to go"
"
Indeed"
"

"
What?"
"

"

"

"
I had not noticed"

Figure it out yet? You should have.
Next:
"
I would like very much like to have a weapon such as this"
"
Yea,.. Get in line"
BTW: None of my Quotes will ever have names. I will use quotes with no names.

I think I was planning to post even before seeing your post. And 15? Unless I'm missing something, only 14 episodes were made. And I think maybe you should mind your language even though I'm sure you're very passionate about the subject.

That's ok, maybe he thinks that swearing a lot makes him right when in fact he's obviously extremely wrong in most of his statements.

Editors of Wikipedia wrote:"Serenity" is the original two-hour series pilot for the Firefly science-fiction television series created by Joss Whedon. However, FOX executives were not satisfied with this as a pilot, and so instead, "The Train Job" was created to be the pilot. "Serenity" was not aired until the end of the series' run.
I've got the series on my comp and I rented Serenity the movie last Friday.

Some of the quotes may have names, some might not. My memory is bad.
"If you know the enemy, and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles."-Sun Tzu
"There comes a time when we all must make the choice, between what is right, and what is easy."-Albus Dumbledore.
_A few quotes that may or may not make it in my novel_ (Names have been changed)
[Darien] "I'm not dieing today."
[Lukas] "How do you know?"
[Darien] "Cause I"m nearly drunk. And no one can kill a drunk waving around two hatchets."
_____
[LUkas] "I think we might just die."
[Darien] "Can I still drink to that?'
[Suras] "I'm with Darien on this one."

"We're so arrogant, aren't we? So afraid to age we do everything we can to prevent it. We don't realize what a privilege it is to grow old with someone, someone who doesn't drive you to commit murder, who doesn't humiliate you beyond repair...that's sweet." --- From PS I love you
"Blood and love are the fiber of this world and yet we're so eager to waste it!"
