ACLU (Dragon Slayer's Rant)

Postby Dragonslayer4ever » Sun Jun 12, 2005 10:19 pm

Ok I am sure some of you know who I am talking about. You know those %$%(^%$%^%$)%%^$^%$%((%$*%$$^(%%$#%$

that try to ruin america in the name of making it better.

I have been sitting here watching Fox News alot and some of this stuff is repulsive. sueing school boards for praying and taking bibles from kids that are reading them during recess. And wanting to give terrorist lawyers and other crap.

My first part:

I hate that damnable org with a passion. The things they do they say are making us look better when they are making us look weaker and stupider. They should be tried and publicly executed for treason. Correct me if im wrong but 100 years ago thats what happened if you did stuff like they are doing. They are trying to revoke all right plainly stated in the constitution of the united states. They got rid of the ten commandments in front of many government buildings. (wtf) Is it me or did my history teacher lie when the founding fathers founded this country its running on those very laws.

They are sueing school boards to stop prayer before meetings. If its alright with everyone attending it then why even step your nose in.

The kids they take bibles from especially this instance that really got me a 10 year old kid reading his bible during recess. Hell if the kid is reading and something of that level he needs to be rewarded as most kids no a days don't read books. And the bible isn't that easy a book to read.

They are trying to get rid of a judge that uses going to church as a punishment for some of his criminal cases. He doesn't force it , its an option. If the person agrees no problem don't bother it. But they are so hell bent of seperating church and state that its annoying and to me bordering treason. As Gorege Bush even clearly stated is christian and attends church. He was even at the Pope's funeral.( I watched it and it really was something touching)

They are also trying to get us to give proven terrorist lawyers and lesser sentences. I think they need to be shoot on the spot. (call me barbaric but its true) They threaten our lives and they need to pay. These ACLU bastards are pretty much wanting us to let them go so they can kill more innocents.

Now I'm not that big on religion so you can't say I am looking at this from a religious point of veiw as I have none. But what I see isn't right and contradicts the very teachings this country is all about.

Well I'm tired of ranting for the moment and would like to see what others think on this subject.

(Note: all info was in fact heard on Fox News but not seen as DS4E was playing Cantr at all times it was going on. This is only on what he has heard and may be incorrect on some parts in the details)

My respect has just lowered 10 points for you.
You have to be pretty ignorant to be be an antidisestablishmentarian.
Have you ever considered WHY these types of laws exist? There are OTHER religions, you know. And Christian is too heavily favored.

As stated I am not fond of any particular religion. My point is that christianity is being attacked by these people. I agree religion should not be forced on anyone but if the people involved are willing for it then why bother with it. Just something they can complain about and get more democratic funding. I believe that religion should not be pressed on anyone. Hell I threaten the lives of those guys that come knocking at my door preaching about their stuff.

My point is that they should not be getting all riled up over this as it does not impose religion on anyone its there. The Ten Commandments are the foundatiton of our judicial system and I only follow them cause they make sense. Believe it or not but its even used in Cantr. Most the laws are based on those ten laws.

I am against the ACLU for their lack of common sence. There is no illegal activity. A kid wants to read his bible instead of playing kick ball fine its better for him to strengthen his mind. Be it for regilous purposes or not.

I don't even know where to start in criticizing that overly hypocritical and contradictory post.

I see what is going on as this and I mean no offense.

But from what I understand about the muslim religion it talks about killing everyone that is not part of that religion. Now thats not always the case but from what I here on the news it is a good part of it.

But my thing is mainly the terrorist themselves. They are bent to kill everyone that thinks differently than them. If you think everyone should be oppressed and persecuted then you are with them. But if you think everyone should be free to voice their opinion then your their sworn enemy.

And correct me if I'm wrong Nick but I beleive you are younger than me. Making you the generation to make the decisions of tommorrow just as much as me. And if you want to let this unjustice keep going on then don't worry I'll leave the country.

This isn't me siding with anyone. Its me trying to point out that the ACLU is contradicting themselves. They don't want religion pressed on people but yet they press people not to worship. They might as well try and bane church of all forms. I don't know about you but I have no plan to be some drone in a cubicle pushing papers all day long. I am going to stand out and be my own person. Thats what this country is supposed to be. But we allow others to control and tell us what to do.

The muslim religion is a peaceful and progressive religion, fundamentally. Much more so than christianity.

A few extremists who have the skin color of a muslim, and therefore the racist american media groups all terrorists as muslim, and all muslims as terrorists.

The ALCU wants people to stop praying in public places, because it is unfair to those who AREN'T Christian. I don't understand what part of that you don't get. If everyone in class is praying, and you're buddhist or whatever, wouldn't you be uncomfortable?

America was not based on the 10 commandments. That's a pretty laughable suggestion. I mean sure, many of the 10 commandments are laws. But that's only because not killing people makes sense as a law! And I'm sure the 10 Commandments was not the first time they figured out that killing other people was a bad thing! Saying it's based on the 10 commandments is to ignore all other instances of this most likely universal law, and that is a high christian bias. Don't feed us the BS that you have no preference for religions, because you clearly have a preference for Christian.

But my thing is mainly the terrorist themselves. They are bent to kill everyone that thinks differently than them.

So are Americans.
'We'll give Iraq freedom, even if we have to blow it up, trying!'
Democracy is what you guys like. Fine. But stop shoving it down people's throats as if it's the only type of government that works! I personally think that America's style of democracy is poor. You can argue against that, or believe it or not. That's my opinion. But the ones FORCING the opinions on others are certainly the americans. Much moreso than terrorists.

Your right I feel uncomfortable around those that are praying. Because I'm Hindu.

You say America is bad. Hell let me be the first to admit it. It isn't all that great. You can get in trouble for looking at someone. The laws and justice system have gone currupt. Only in America can you murder someone have every kind of evidence say you did it. Even admit it yourself and still get to walk free.

When the shit hits the fan.

Didn't the ACLU pay John T. Scopes to teach Darwin's theory of evolution when it was illegal in the state in question?

And I don't agree we need to press democracy down people's throats either. I personally beleive America needs to shut its borders lock ourselves up and fix our own problems before we go into someone elses.

And I agree the pressing religion shouldn't be allowed. But when its the Ten Commandments in front of a court house, or a ten year old boy reading his bible during recess. I don't think that needs to be stepped in on. Its by those people's right. If the citizens of the town don't want to things there they can vote it to be removed. It doesn't need some fanatic anti-Bush anti-freedom and anti-sanity org to step in and cry over it.

But you tell me how a boy reading a bible is forcing his religion on others. Or before school prayer meetings. Its all voluntary.

Just like me doing my own prayers somewhere. People don't like it ? %(^% them. I'm there doing it. I'm not forcing them to join/read/believe any of it.

I'm from Kansas Nitefyre. Don't even get me started on teaching evolution in school. Here we are trying to be progressive and actually help ensure that it's taught as what it is -- the scientific THEORY of evolution -- and also that it is presented along with other equally plausible theories such as intelligent design and even - *gasp* - creationsism  , and people like the ACLU come pounding down on us for bowing to the religious right. Gimme a break!

Dragonslayer, while he veers way off onto a slippery slope with this rant, has a point. Some people have gotten out of control with promoting their ideas and are fostering a culture of open-mindedness so long as it is open to the opinions of the "progressive left".

I'm trying to refer here to the individuals who don't have to have a logical reason to hate bigotry. (Think about it, I'm pretty sure there is some truthful irony that should make some of you laugh. The rest...you might want to consider yourself burned)

Not sure. But they played a part in taking out the creationism theory from schools. Hell I can beleive Darwin's theory over Creationism easier anyways. To me its just hard to see Baam the world is there. Lets make some stars then just cause I say so lets make come creatures and call them humans.

But how the world was created isn't the topic of this. Its pretty much to get the veiws of others on the ACLU. You Nitefyre of all people should know more than I do about this as you are surrounded with the politics stuff.

Out of curiousity, do you believe that the Earth was made in 6 days?

(as defined in Genesis, I believe, but you creationist folk can correct me on that)

So, you'd go to rant about the organization which opened the door to many Americans learning about alternative theories, when prior to their action, the bulk of rural America was stuck learning only Creationism...(by law)?
