Weird dreams

Postby SekoETC » Tue Apr 19, 2005 2:46 am

Weird dreams have been posted here before but here's one more. I had it on my last nap and it was really scary. I woke up in cold sweat.

Prelude:

My dad was playing WWG with us and I got killed because he was the seer and wasn't active enough to save me.

Part one:

I saw a boy drowning, sinking below shallow water, face upwards. I think he was a hostage of some sort. They were in a cave but it was light in there. A sand beach with stone walls around, and tide rising. He was forced to lie down by the waterline, not held physically but probably threatened. Maybe tied up as he couldn't rise. He was probably naked. About 8 years old. The captor was around watching but unseen. Before the water covered the boy's face, he spoke but I couldn't hear the words. But he was calm and I think he forgave his captor. I'm not so sure if he actually died there.

Part two:

Now there were five boys in a water-filled cave, probably a part of the same cave system. Two of them were in a casket but alive, using it like a boat. They were scared, shouting to the other boys. I don't remember if the others were swimming or floating on something. They floated out of the cave, on to a lake or a bay. People were standing waist-deep in the water, with calming smiles, they had good intentions. I remember the one of right, it was a young woman with long brown hair, a tint of red in it, and she was wearing a shirt with horizontal stripes, yellow and brown I recall. They told the boys they'd carry them to the shore. Maybe they could have made it on their own but they were exhausted and thankful. On the beach it came apparent that these people were religious. Two of the boys were given bibles because they weren't in faith yet.

Part three:

We were on a prison camp, standing on a metal platform. I was close to a tower but I saw a terrible machine rising behind me, taller than a house. It looked like a monster truck with big lights on top and added with a mechanical arm that was swaying up and down over the platform. I was afraid it was going to smash us. I saw these towers on the other side of the yard, they were like giant wardrobes and I thought I could hide beneath, but I couldn't run away because movement would catch it's attention. We were all standing still like tin soldiers and try to behave. The arm moved among the people, taunting us, poking people in the back gently. A boy was picked out for searching, he was accused of stealing something. The robot stripped him and they found something in his pocket, a small piece of junk, something totally worthless. He had probably just forgotten it there or then been framed. Nevertheless he was stripped and taken against the wall, his hands tied up with black cable. The metallic arm lashed his back repeatedly for punishment. I knew that it could happen to any of us so we should just act nice and try not to draw attention.

Part four:

I was in a checkpoint getting out of the camp. There were cars in queue and I think I was in a car too. I heard the guards talking about ADHD and then I thought I could use that as an excuse for impulsive behaviour. It was my turn next and I accelerated quickly, speeding away from the camp. They tried to chase me but couldn't. Then the car changed into a motorbike, or maybe it had been such from the beginning and I only imagined being in a car because I saw a car on the checkpoint before me. I was on a cycleway, it's in my old hometown Kotka and I've taken that road home for three years when I was in middle school. It was dark, late evening and suddenly something was in front of me. It wasn't solid but I was thrown out of balance and suddenly the bike wasn't there anymore. I don't remember falling down, only laying on my back on the street. I tried to fight it off but there was nothing but air. I saw it in front of me, out of my reach, a fluorescent creature fading like those after-images you get from staring at a bright light and then closing your eyes. I was wondering why doesn't it attack me and in that confusion I woke up.

Very interesting... I'm not an expert at all on dreams and I can't even begin to say what I think yours might mean... I do have one dream that recurred two nights in a row that I have no explanation for. It's brief, blurry and quite scary considering I NEVER have dreams like this.

Setting/View:

I am represented in this dream, but the view is external, like a that of a movie camera. Furthermore, "I" do not look like me at all. I am a much older man, with much darker skin, something like a mid-eastern complexion but not quite. I only know that I was supposed to be this person. I was dressed in dirty white attire, with a long knife tucked into a sash at my side. A headwrap covered my face, making me look like somewhat of a bandit. I was at the head of an army of similarly dressed men.

We faced a sheer, rocky, 90 degree vertical cliff in the middle of a wasteland setting, during the day time. The sun was near its peak at noon. In the cliff were many caves. They were not deep, about the same space as an office cubicle, perhaps a little smaller, and each cave face was blocked by a multicolored quilt or tapestry. Every tapestry was unique. And though they cannot be seen, I know that behind each tapestry is a person. And they are afraid.

Wordlessly, soundlessly, the army charges the cliff face. When they reach the cliff, without slowing down, the men climb the rocky cliff space with incredible speed, their limbs moving more like spiders than humans. The army continues to poor up the cliff side as I, or rather my representative approaches a particular tapestry. The tapestry is mainly orange, with flecks of blue squares dotting it in places.

Tearing the tapestry aside, I see a young black woman, huddled in fear against the back of the cave wall. She is very pregnant and dressed in a yellow and green sari. She looks at me with extreme terror and as she does, the sound of the hundreds of feet pounding up the cliffside culminate in a roar as the vision whites out, ending the dream... and both times it woke me up, startled out of deep sleep.

I have no idea what it means, but it's the first recurring dream I've had in my life... for whatever that's worth.

I've had a dream last month or something, but it scared me so much I just can't sleep with the radio on anymore.

Background info:

I sleep on the floor, wit a duvet underneath me. I find it more comfortable than my bed. I also sleep with Radio 4 on, or some music. This I place on my bed. Also, my bedroom floor is covered with junk, and an ottoman in the corner is positioned just below a thin but long window, which I always keep open. I also keep the curtains open as well.

The dream:

I was lying on my bed, with the radio on, when it suddenly went quiet. There was absolutely no noise, but the electricity was working, because I could turn the light on. I checked the areal, which was okay, and I checked all the connections. Everything was fine. So, I lay back in bed, and notice it's snowing. I walked to the window, and stood on my ottoman, so I could see better. Then I noticed there was a metallic taste in my mouth, which made me realise that it wasn't snow but nuclear fallout. I immediately thought "This is it, I'm dead."

At that point I woke up, realised where I was, and got up shakilly, and dragged myself downstairs. I couldn't talk, and could hardly stand. The next day I just couldn't sleep upstairs, and even now I prefer not to.

I also have many dreams that scare me, or are just weird, or make me believe stuff that hasn't happened has. But a lot of my dreams end with me falling down, and just before I hit the ground I wake up, and land with a thud against my bed, as though I really had been falling. I've stopped having them now I sleep on the floor, though.

*she sighs* I have had many nightmares and the bad part is the one that I ended up having for over 8 months came true. here let me explain, well without going into to much details..

Well by now most people know that I have had 4 beautiful children, my children are 7, 4, 2, and would be almost a year old, but unfortunately passed away at 6 weeks old. *please don't say sorry, makes it harder* I have had 4 c-sections.

Well from the time I found out I was pregnant with my youngest chid, Andrew, I started having dreams, nightmares if you will. I would dream that I was going in for surgery, and well three things I would see. *endings if you will*

The first one would start off with my dying on the operating table. the second one was that Andrew was going to be stillborn. And the final ending to my bad dreams was that shortly after birth he was going to pass away..

Well, I cried at my neighbors house the night before I went into the hospital, scared to death about going in.. I wanted to have him but couldn't go in.. that something was going to happen.

Needless to say, I went in, started feeling the cuts, and pressure *for those that have had a c-section, know that you aren't supposed to feel anything* well they had to knock me out, gave me meds so that I was still awake but wouldn't remember anything. Before the medicine kicked in I cried and prayed that I would come out of this and that he would be healthy. about 30 minutes later I woke up and was so happy to be alive. *ending #1 didn't happen*

When I was settled in my room, Andrew was brought to me. Beautiful little baby boy with strawberry blonde hair that stood up as though he stuck a finger in an electrical outlet.. *ending #2 didn't happen*

Well on the morning of July 6th of 2004, I left the house and went to a doctors appointment. Came home and everything was normal. I fed Andrew, changed him and burped him. I layed with him on my chest *his favorite place* I watched him for a while before I layed him in his bed. I went to do the dishes, argued with my husband. he looked for the cordless phone, walked over to Andrew and he wasn't breathing..

The final dream had come true. Now even after he was born, I had these dreams but by this point I had only been seeing the last ending. I pushed them aside, because hell. the other ones didn't happen so why would this one. My house was treated like a crime scene seeing as though there was no reason for him to have passed away. he wasn't sick, no disabilities.. nothing.. He was a healthy little boy, 2 days shy of 6 weeks old. I remember those details now so vividly.

Needless to say, something that I didn't say and I saved it to the end to say. While I was busy washing dishes and arguing with my husband, I had this feeling that I should go check on him. Well.. I had just layed him down about 15 minutes before so I didn't check. We died shortly after I layed him down so even if I would have checked on him when I had that feeling, he still would have passed away.

I guess what I am trying to say in the end is that if you have gut feeling that there is something wrong, don't push it aside, follow through and make sure there is nothing wrong. There was nothing I could have done if I had checked, but still.. I was the last one to hold him, change him, feed him.. and with being a mother, I will always hold it against myself that I didn't go check. *sighs* well now that I seemed to hve depressed everyone with my story, I must say that I try not to dream.. This isn't the first dream of mine to come true. Now you can figure out why I don't sleep..

These all sound to me like very disturbing dreams. I'd love to share one of mine, but I'm afraid I can't think of one that would match up to any of these, and the ones I remember are rather blurry.

But this is a great thread. Thanks for sharing those things with me, and us.

About the gut feeling thing, it's actually pretty true. The intestines is believe to contain over 2 million neurons and thinks twice as fast as our brain. So, the gut feeling thing is actually true. Same with the heart, although that has less neurons.

I was lying in my bead and I heard my brother in the kitchen. The sound was muffled but I heard him crying for help, voice breaking in the end. I got up, terrified, went to the kitchen. Somehow, might have been slight sounds of movement, I knew that someone was there. I stepped around the corner, I that point feeling a bit unreal, knowing it had probably been a dream, and it was my mother there. Not my brother. I just stood still for a while, I must have looked scared because she came to hug me and asked what was it about. I told her what I'd heard and she said it was ok. I still had to go check on my brother, he was sleeping, nothing wrong. My brother is only a year younger than me but that moment it felt like he was just a helpless kid that needs my protection.

Thanks, Seko, you made me dredge up an old one....

A couple of friends (my girlfriend plus another girl) and I are on a road trip in the desert. We meet a guy on a motorcycle who decides to hang out with us. We think he's pretty cool, so we agree to let him tag along. The three of have been jammed in the cab of my truck for the whole trip, so we decide to let one of the girls ride on the bike with him. My friend is afraid of the idea of riding on the motorcycle, so my girlfriend volunteers to ride with him...despite how much I disapprove of the idea because of a gut feeling I have. But I don't want to look jealous so we head off on our way with me in the lead in the truck and the motorcycle behind us.

We drive for a few hours uneventfully and drive down into a narrow canyon (probably not exactly the right term, but the rock walls rise steeply on either side of the road).

Suddenly all hell breaks loose in my rear view mirror as I see the bike swerve - to miss a rabbit or something I think, but that's not important now. The bike smashes into one wall of the canyon and then ricochets from side to side like a crashing tie fighter, sending my girlfriend and the other guy flying. Pieces of the bike fly everywhere as I slam on the brakes to bring the truck to a screeching halt. I bolt from the truck and sprint towards where my girlfriend came to rest. My other friend climbs the truck and is paralyzed with panic, screaming "Oh my God!" repeatedly at the top of her lungs.

My girlfriend is lying on the road, shredded and bleeding...her arm is severed halfway between the elbow and shoulder....lying in a pool of blood. I try futily to stop the bleeding with my shirt. My friend still screams by the truck. I look over quickly to the stranger and see his decapitated body lying about 75 yards away.

Acting out of pure instinct I pick up my girlfriend and lay her in the back of the truck. I calm my friend down as best I can and tell her she has to drive to the hospital as fast as she can if we are going to save our friend. She manages to get it together enough to do that and proceeds to race towards the next town, which is hopelessly far away since we are in the middle of the desert. I sit in the back, holding my girlfriend tightly, kissing her forehead and trying to protect her from the jostling of the speeding truck.

We make it to the hospital ER and drop her off. The doctors rush her in on a gurney and tells us to wait for the news outside. The dream last for what seems like hours at that point as me and my friend wait for the word. Finally the doctor comes out....and says, "I'm sorry."

I woke up as my dream heart exploded.

 This is mental torture... ever since I was little and first heard of Nucleur bombs I've been slightly scared, but after hearing about these dreams, I feel increasingly agitated, in case mine comes true. :( Up untill recently, I've slept with a light on (I know, I know, I'm 15. I'm fine every where else, it's just that my bedroom really freaks me out now. I feel like something else is in there some nights, and it's like something is following me when I go to the shop after dark... It plays hell with my mental stability. And sometimes I see figures out of the corner of my eye, I think it's some woman... anyway, the light is a waste of electricity, so I stopped leaving it on all night) and there was a light off in my dream, but I was also sleeping on the floor. I now sleep on a matress on my floor, which makes me feel sort of secure, knowing that my room is different to the dream. Sorry, I just had to get this off my chest. It's been killing me. :x

I have over 70 entries in my LiveJournal dedicated to dreams I've had that were coherent enough to detail.

The two dreams I've had that kind of came true were horrible. One was that one of my teachers in high school assaulted me with a knife-- that was the dream I had the morning I was assaulted outside school (by a stranger with a gun, though-- not my logic teacher, though he was the only one who was unsympathetic to my lower grade on the next test).

The other one was that I was inside a skyscraper as it collapsed underneath me. I woke up to hear my husband telling me the World Trade Center had been hit by airplanes and was under attack.

I wonder if I have nice dreams about good things happening, but I don't notice when they come true, because I remember nightmares better than I remember regular dreams.

I seem to have dreams in which I'm fighting something with a gun... like one I was playing an arcade game which we were running and you had to shoot the people passing by, only I became the person in the game, and every time I got shot, there was a real pain in my spine, like it got pinched or something. I hate dreams like that.

April 25 2008

There are people dancing on a rooftop. There is no music but perhaps we just can't hear it because we are looking at it through a telephoto lens. It zooms a bit closer and the closest dancer, a young woman in a faded red top glances straight at the camera, but never stops dancing. Her hair is long and curly and the color is on the border between blond and light brown. Behind her are a couple of guys. A narrator's voice explains that they do this ever so often even though it's illegal. It's like a documentary.

The next week (or so) we hear that they are doing it again. We stand down on the street and there are many people around, lots of hassle. Someone mentions that they are at the grand railway station. We start heading there, wondering what are they doing there. Somehow we expect to see fire trucks or ambulances but apparently there are none.

We get to the station and maybe we are watching at it from a high platform since the trains are like toy trains. The one at the bottom of the picture is being draped in white, like paper (although it's more likely that it's a plastic tent). As we watch, the whole train is covered like a cocoon. Then we can see military/police officers nearby even though the trains stay in plain view all the time. There are china bowls on a table, in a pile. They are white with blue painted patterns. I hear that five of them are signed and I get the feeling that they belonged to the dancers. Then the police officers say that they will crush the bowls like the (red?) man crushes the white man. They are going to slam the bowls against a wall to shatter them.

My dreams would have me banned from the forums and arrested for corrupting the young/hate crimes/sexual deviance/criminal insanity etc.

Well I once had a dream involving a naked three-year-old boy stuffed upside down in a toilet bowl. I got that far telling it to a person when they said that they seriously don't wanna hear it. So now I can't remember other stuff there was.

Well it was a couple days ago there was vampires (I think) all around my parents house and my parents bedroom had vampires but they ignored you there and my father and sister tried to get away and the vampires outside went after them I threw two knifes one into it's abdomen and one just under the chest and then it came after me I kicked it hard and then I woke up.

There was so much stuff inbetween that stuff but thats what I can remeber now I always have trouble remembering my dreams
