I don't think you should advertise other things in the forum.
I think most places have a thing against it.

Can you please explain what Perplex City is?

Try google...
It's only recently started (late March I think) it's an 'Alernative Reality Game' (ARG) - the creation of a scenario that spreads across the interenet, via e-mail, phone, and in real situations. Most recently, with Project szygzy (think i got that right...) which was the 'pre-game' for Perplex City, people gathered at Abbey Road (by the famous crossing).
Other examples include a game clues led to an Audi dealership in New York, where they had staged a full-scale robbery, and another game where clues were given regarding particular phone boxes and times, and if you were there at the right time, and answered, the game proceeded (and a cash prize was given)
The guess is that the person that finds 'The Cube' in this one will get a cash prize... But, bear in mind, they are usually funded as part of an advertising campaign for a new game or something... I enjoy them, as they take some of the ideas of internet riddles from places like notpron and such, and mix it with real places and events (and a large budget...)

So it's a grandscale riddle/wild goose chase. If you can solve the clues and be where they suggest you be at the right time, then you get to go on playing the game, getting harder and harder riddles. If you pass all the challenges, you'll discover "the cube" and win the game. (along with some real cash too it seems)
The only annoying thing about it is that in the whole site, they don't come out and say: Look, this is a contest. Play along, solve the clues, and you'll win a prize.
Other than that, it sounds like a fun idea.

AoM's pretty much got it...
This looks set to be on a larger scale than they have been before... I'm still trying to work out who the hell is funding the thing (i.e: what's it trying to sell...)

No, the most recent gathering was on Abbey Road - but that was the pre-game. There was a small event in New York too...

These games are tempting, but awkward logistically. I mean people who can't be there lose out on the clues. Still.... Any one fancy making one from cantr? I might get us some new players...... I'm game if some others are.
