Can you really mess with those gards in englad that have the puffy hats and not get in trouble? And one more thing...
Do you people just break into dance like they do in Austn Powers?

*nods sagely* Touch typing...
And no. If you mess with those guards, you'll be arrested. Although making funny faces at them is legal and mildly amusing.
I would like to say: Rev, good use of the word S'all. I love that word...

S'not technically a word, it's a contraction of "it", "is", and "all"...
But thanks.
And yes, you mess with the palace guards and you will be imprisoned. Funny faces etc are legal, but exceptionally annoying (or so I'm told).

But if you do hit them, is it the guards who arrest you? Or will they take it and wait for the gunless British police to take my blurred out face to the precinct?
And how long can one of those guys work at the palace? Our colorguard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (in DC), can only hold the job for about 6 months before going nuts, or so I've been told. And no one even messes with them.

The guards outside the palace are classed as millitary personel, therefore attacking them is treason and so can shoot you. Theoretically they can do the same if you burn money or damage coins in public.

So shooting them with a flaming bank note from a slingshot made out of deformed coins isn't a good idea, right?
I remember seeing this kid mess around with one of the guards at Windsor Castle a few years ago on a trip to Europe. I thought the guard had a good response. First, he pointed at the kid without saying anything. Then when the kid didn't get the message the guard took one step forward then stomped really hard on the ground just in front of the kid.
He got the message that time. I got a little scared myself.
