He was a great player. Some of the best in-game partnerships my chars ever had were (i found out later) played by Jerry.
It's strange how devious minds often attract--many of my chars who've been somewhat devious and in a position of power were associated in some way with one of Jerry's. Since all of Jerry's are dead now I can say:
One of my chars worked for one of Jerry's and took over the company when Jerry's char was killed.
One of Jerry's chars accompanied mine on a 20-year looting and killing spree.
One of Jerry's chars joined an ... organization one of mine started and was a loyal member for decades.
And in each case it was 100% legit - neither of us knew who played who until much later.
And in each case mine are still alive, Jerry-less
This is fairly common, actually, among the core of committed old-time players (not really the fly-by-nights). Their characters tend unwittingly to gravitate towards each other, probably because most active, articulate and powerful (or at least ambitious) characters were played by the same core of a fewscore players. As numbers increase that's not really the case anymore.
I once had to confront somebody OOC because I had the sneaky suspicion that *every* female char one of my male characters was romantically involved with was played by the same player
