who's bright idea was it to release Halo2 and Everquest2 on the same day????? Hello!!!!! any brains out there? the work force will suffer mass terminations and mass sick days because of those 2 games!!!!!

now our roomie is sucking himself into evercrack and it was hell to get a complete sentance out of my boyfriend last night on the phone because he was playing halo2. Now, I know my boy will get over it, and he never really was into addicting games, but i am worried that the roomie will revert to asshole yet again. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. he was up til 3am playing and had to be at work this morning.

he gets up, late of course, shaves his face in MY bathroom, leaving gross hairs in my sink. Then proceeds to stomp around the house, tearing it up looking for keys. While doing that he yells at the cat 3 times to "get the hell away from him" because the cat is doing his normal morning yowling, begging for breakfast. He enters and exists the house 4 times, slamming the door all 4 times, yells at the birds to shut up and then has the nerve to be bitchy at me when i tell HIM to shut the hell up, people are trying to sleep.

he was like this before, with other games, and it went away while there was no new addiction. bastard needs to stop playing computer games.

but, hes NOT my problem. bastard.

My hubby is addicted to some games....he's gotten better though. Mainly because I am hogging the computer with my Cantr addiction.

I spend more time on either cantr or Halo than I do with my schoolwork, typically.

i play halo some, but i wouldn't consider myself addicted. i play it when i'm bored. my brother on the other hand...
as for cantr, i'd say i used to be addicted, but right now none of my characters are in particularly exciting situations so it the game has less pull than it used to.

i just realized i should have added Ultima online to the list. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

well cantr, yes very much so. Halo 2 i play when im not playing cantr or planet side. When i got halo 2 i played it for about 24 hours straight finishing the campaign on heroic. After that i had a cracking headache

I play all games to an Ethan like level. But remain Lucas, while avoiding Evercrack.

My hubbie is hooked until he beats it and then he's back to normal playing the usual sports games.

huh? i understood the "avoid evercrack" but can you explain the "ethan like level" please.

He means he plays games very obsessively, but still remains a cool and relatively sane person... and avoids the evercrack.

I never understood the point of Evercrack. Never understood the point of country musid either. There muct be some sort of illuminati connection there somewhere.

Regarding Halo - fine game until the migraines start. Once you start blacking out at the keyboard it becomes a real issue. Once I can play it with VR goggles and not have to worry about a real interface, I'll try it again. Until then, I'm done.

Give me my Cantr over the others any day of the week. At least in Cantr I feel semi-productive. With the others I know I'm not.

I agree. Ethan is more like myself as well, crazy CAD. I wish I could work at an game shop, like EP. That would be cool.

Who's crazy idea was it to release Halo 2 and Everquest 2 on the same day? Obviously someone that realised "Everquest sucks, if we release them on the same day, we'll PROVE just how much better Halo is." - And of course, who's smart idea was it to realse Half-Life 2 a week later? HMM? That was just stupid.

don't really think it's fair to say that men get more addicted to these games than women. There are plenty of women addicted to cantr to the point of screwing up thier lives. My wife is addicted to evercrack 1.

I have a little 20th lvl high elf cleric on EQ1. Everquest's motto should be "Cheating. It's not only tolerated, it's expected". Cantr is a much more honest game which makes it hard when people cheat.

my point with this poll and ranting post was that MEN tend to become total pricks when addicted to games. I know plenty of girls who are addicted to games too. (i quit because I hate addiction and cantr got me...lol, among other reasons of course.)

as you can see, the addiction isnt gone, I still review forums.
