How do you all think it ends?

I'm afraid that Bush will win again. I hope...had I been religious had I prayed, that the Americans are smart enough to give him another 4 years to ruin the world.

It looks to be very close whoever will win.
I'm not sure that Kerry is a much better leader, but he can't be worse.

At this point, I don't see much difference between them, apart from their personalities and appearances. You've got a few policy issues that differ ~ bah.

As much as I have been thinking Bush would clinch this election, I wouldn't mind seeing the supposed 'change' that Kerry would bring (as I doubt it would be much).

I'd rather vote for Swartzenegger.

I say we drop Bush and Kerry both out to sea and make Nadar our president, but since that won't happen, I'm pretty sure Bush is going to win. Of course that will be after about 50 recounts...

I don't think the chances of a repeat recount incident are very high. Even government organizations aren't dumb enough to publically humiliate themselves twice in a row.

And I wouldn't dump them out to sea...if you're going that way, flee yourself. Preferably to outside Earths atmosphere. Probably neither of them will get there too quick.

But why do you think Bush will win? My sources lean towards Kerry.

my sources lean to kerry only because of voter polls. they only take into account people who voted in the last 2 elections. what about all the young people who don't usually vote, they will vote this time...

I already voted. Voting by mail is awesome.

As a cynical Canadian, I predict Bush by one electoral vote (or one state, however that works), mostly due to Nader's pulling Kerry votes away from him, not Bush. If Canadians were allowed to vote, Kerry would win by a landslide, but we're not the 51'st state yet lol.

But I think this election is so radicalized that (almost) anyone in a swingable state is going to vote for whichever they consider the lesser of two evils. Throwing a swing-vote to a non-majority candidate really is disenfranchising yourself...As a voter for a solidly non-swingable state, I'm already disenfranchised as far as that goes Still voted, though.

Techincal point: Winning by a state is pretty much guaranteed, I would say, since NY and Texas would almost certainly be enough to toss the election either way. The thing is that they don't swing. Ever.

As for winning by one electoral vote...in theory it can happen. In practice, considering that at least most states cast all votes for the same candidate, I don't know that there's any way the states can fall that would give such a small gap. There might be, though.

Nader pulling votes away? I didn't even know he was running till I read "Over the Hedge". Nader will have no influence. Jed Bush will be up to his old tricks again, though.

I think I speak for most Europeans in backing Kerry... The lesser of two evils, probably.

However, I think Bush will be re-elected. You Americans are going to be absolutely loathed around the world by the end of his second term...

It's already turning into a joke in florida, this state has already lost some early votes and absentee ballads, we're almost quaranteed a recount already.

I still say out to sea, let the fishes have them, if they will...

Nadar is expected to pull about 2-3% of the vote in florida, everyone I know is voting for him, and the votes nadar is pulling is away from kerry. This state is key in the election, whoever wins here will almost definatly win.

Indeed. Bush evidently doesn't care, but then I don't think Bush is particularly concerned with foreign nations. With the possible exception of Britain, Russia and China. And the obvious exception of Tie-Rack. Sorry, Iraq...

Yeah, Bush is a jackass, he "doesn't care" in the wrong way. The billions spent in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the other few dozen countries we're sending aid to woudl be better spent here at home. If it was up to me we'd return to an isolationist policy and not change that till we'd pumped enough money into our education system and economy to be on top again and be damned what anyone thought of it.
