Postby Mavsfan911 » Thu Oct 28, 2004 4:00 am

Woo! 86 years!!!
They crushed the Yankees, then canned the Cardinals.
86 years worth of waiting is over.
Party Time!

i'm not sure about "crushing" the yankees. that came right down to the wire.
but anyway, congrats to the red sox and to sox fans. it's about time they got this.

on a different note, i'm hearing from my mit friends that there's rioting in boston. that's no good at all.

From what I've been hearing the Red Sox fans (obviously, not all of them) tend to riot whenever the team wins or loses an important game. So, today...yeah. There are probably some pretty serious riots. I'm not willing to go close enough to a TV to find out. They aren't audible here.

If the Red Socks have been waiting that long they deserve it. :)

Disappointed in my Cardinals as I from St.Louis but if anyone deserved a World Series - its Boston. And they did riot last night which I find pretty sad.

 Yeah, the Cardinals were rather...laughable.

I hear there's a lot of "New York, who's your daddy now" tshirts getting around in boston.

I think there would also have been riots if they lost.

That's what I would have thought too. I stand corrected.

My best friend went to the riots without me, I felt so left out. (only because I wasn't in Boston at the time tho) But she got beaten up by a police officer. She ahs bruises on her arm, she is so proud, she is showing em off...

GO SOX!!!!

(and btw its boston red sox, not red socks)

Somehow that sounds exagerrated. "Beat up", I doubt...
And yes, I think everyone meant the same thing whether it was Red Sox or Red Socks...

Wel, maybe beaten up was excessive, but she has bruises on her arms from the Boston PD. That I have verified, she showed me a picture over AIM.
