I like to keep up to date with all my music, so you guys have any good songs from your parts of the world you'd like to share with us? I like a wide range of tunes, from punk rock to brit pop and back to country.
Heres a few songs I like at the minute,
The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love
Black Eyed Peas and JT - Wheres The Love
Elton John - Are You Ready For Love
Weird Al - Angry White Boy Polka

I dont think there is much of a simliarity between any of them, so maybe you'l like atleast one of them.

I like all music..but ...I don't watch tv too much or listen to the radio much to know what all is "new"
I catch up with new songs like...6mo after everyone else did. LOL

I like anything from Elvis, to Tupac, to Everlast to Tim Mcgraw...I like it all...There isn't any type I don't like. I'll even listen to Classical and Blues. Norah Jones and Charlotte Church. Ted Nugent, Kiss, etc etc etc

With that said..I'm all o.O religiously listening to a country song by Martina McBride lately called Concrete Angel.
Probably nothing most of you will like...but I LOVE IT. :) And I think its relatively new?!?! LOL

I'm mostly a metal person, but I listen to other stuff...except rap, that's my brother's department

So, yeah, I'm listening to a lot of Ayreon, Eppu Normaali, Ensiferum, and Nightwish right now..As well as a lot of music composed by the greats Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda.

And right now I am listening to..
Eppu Normaali - En Saa Mielestä Sinua :D

...not like it matters...

Old Music?

Went looking for the "Hallowed Ground" CD by the Violent Femmes.
Couldn't find it but I found "Bad Music for Bad People" by the Cramps.

Yes I'm low tech but that's because my vechicle is low tech.

Been wanting to upgrade to the build it yourself, no fuel needed, never breaks Cantr vechicle, but, magnesium is just difficult to find around here.

If someone could mail me the 80g I'd appreicate it. Now where did I put those pincers?

Ah, music...I would recommend Saliva, Mudvayne, Chevelle, Soil, Trust Company, Trapt and System of a Down for newer bands. As for established bands, my favorites are Tool, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Offspring, Godsmack, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters and Primus. A good new comedy songwriter is Stephen Lynch.

Is that the dude who does the videos for Tenacious D? And had a song 'Whatever'? Or is that Liam Lynch.

Must be Liam Lynch, Stephen Lynch is straight comedy, he has a 1/2 hr special Comedy Central has on sometimes and one CD that I know of, he's pretty screwed up, about as non PC as you can possibly get.

I listen to pretty much everything, more of a "song" person than a "genre" person. Evanescence currently reigns supreme in my CD player, though I Liz Phair's latest offering - made me want to dig out Whipsmart. Can't wait until Dido's newest is released, "White Flag" has me eagerly awaiting more.

:D

Version 1 suggestion...

Korn!

Check out their new song 'Did My Time' for the recent Tomb Raider movie. Although you can't find it on the Tomb Raider soundtrack. The do, however, have a single released. I can't quite remember all 3 songs. But it is 'Did My Time' along with the live performance 'One' that Korn did for the MTV Icon: Metallica. Oh listen to me ramble on about Korn. Anyway, if you look in to them I highly suggest starting with their first CD which was self-titled. Hell...I don't encourage it, but you could just download them...

Oh!

And I hope I don't get gimped for saying this one...I shouldn't...
Try The Doors. Rather old I know but they could very well have fit in with some of the 80's.

Yup

Ephiroll got most of it on the head, I don't listen to the radio so I miss most new music but I have a friend who keeps me up to date, other fun stuff is Fear Factory, specifically they have two cd's out of remixes of their songs, excellent stuff. A very new band, and arguably one of the best I have heard in years is Motograter I have found 10 of there songs so far and there isn't one that doesn't amaze me. Chimaira is a great new heavy metal band out of my hometown, they are on there third cd "The impossibility of reason" Its getting harder to find good new hard metal but these guys are it. For those of you looking to challenge yourselves, Mindless Self Indulgence (MSI) is a pretty crazy band that, despite the vulgarity actually has great talent and the lead singers vocal range is crazy.

What you want new stuff for? :P

Ozzy Osbourne,
AC/DC,
Thin Lizzy,
Bob Marley,
Dire Straits,
Meat Loaf

all reign supreme in my CD collection, well not quite, but I like them all, but I like loads of other stuff as well, most of it is so old you can buy it for a half decent price as well ;)
