I noticed that someone had posted about Game of Thrones.... Okay, yes. It was a year ago but I have no sense of time. Anyway, here's my recommendation:

Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen.

Read it. It is awesome. All ten volumes of it.

Yes, I'm serious.

It's an epic fantasy series. But not your typical epic fantasy. In fact I'm not sure there is anything like it, really. I hesitate to say too much as I'm afraid my summary won't do it justice. Some say the first book is the hardest to get through, however it's well worth it. The writer has faith in his readers' intelligence which is rather refreshing considering some of the fantasy stuff out there. I'm adding a few links to some reviews that might give you a better idea.

And by PDF, I know you mean a paid E-Book version, right? Because otherwise, that would be piracy and those types of discussions are not constructive for this community.

Yes .-. And I found the first book, $7.99 on Amazon :DD For some reason I thought it would be more expensive. How big are the books individually?

I took a look at the wiki page and I would say they average to about 1000pg per book (hovering between 800-1300pg (rounded) depending on the book).

Seems to be quite interesting actually.

I was able to find quite a few of the volumes in used book stores, if you happen to have any close to you.

Book stores? What is this location you speak of? I have heard mention of these wondrous places in ancient documents, but have never seen such a place with my own eyes.

Sadly though, it is becoming quite true.

Ian C. Esslemont is Steven Erikson's buddy who helped him create the Malazan world. He also has a series of books that relate to the Book of the Fallen series as well, starting with Night of Knives. He's not as great of a writer as Erikson in my opinion, however by the time I got to his books i was so hooked into the Malazan world that I enjoy them just as much.
