This is great as this is the Academy Awards of Sci-Fi. Plus, I think it will be great if Firefly wins at least one since this would only add to the testament of Firefly and how it survives even after being canceled.
In other related news, the comic strip Real Comics had a strip on Firefly today. Now that is three very big online comic strips that have done a Firefly theme strip.
Also, after more than four and half months, Firefly is still in the top 100 bestselling DVDs (currently 41) at Amazon.com! This doesn't count sells at other outlets. I think it is a best bet that Firefly is close to selling 400,000 if it isn't there yet. That would make it one of the bestselling DVD sets ever as well as closing in on one of the best selling DVDs ever.
And to all of you Europeans out there, the Region 2 Firefly DVD has been released.
