Political repercussions of the "Anti Gremlin Act"

Postby Psycho Pixie » Thu Apr 08, 2004 11:40 pm

I did it! I created another political debate. IF you believe gremlins are real, this effects you, if you are still in denile about gremlin society existing.... Deal with it, they are real, I know, I live with them.

A recent bill working its way through congrees is causing an uproar in the gremlin world. The "Anti Gremlin Act" or AGA as its being nicknamed will require every household to report the presence of any and all gremlins found in or around their home. Regardless of sub type, breed or activity level.

This action, brought about by recent studies by government scientists, indicated that ALL gremlins breeds are on the level of intellegence as hamsters, and are found to be a menace to society as a whole. This action, if pushed throught will make all gremlins except for a small population in some small rural areas, get tagged, registered, and then spayed or neutered. The idea being to keep this "pest" in the "controlable" catagory of a population.

Opposing Scientists and private run study groups argue that gremlins as a whole demonstrate an intellegence level equal to humans and in fact are in the "byzantine" era of their technological advancment. The opposing Scienists are voicing very loudly their opinion that the governement is only trying to prevent the growth of an emerging intellegent species that may someday rival our own.

The general feeling is that if this action gets passed, then future intellegent species we humans meet will recieve the same aggressive and controlling treatment. Already, a group has been formed called the ARG, American Regulation of Gremlins, to find gremlin tribes and begin the sterilization processes deemed nessisary by the Government.

Your comments on this action please.

I guess for some people it would be alright to neuter their gremlins. Especially if they are living with some that completely terrorize their family. It's like Bob Barker says: "Help control the pet population, please spay or neuter your pets".

However, I don't believe that gremlins are pets. I think that like all wild animals, they should be allowed to run freely shagging whom ever they please without anyone putting any restrictions on them. I personally will not be registering my gremlins. Except for maybe that damn typo gremlin....or that one that keeps eating my left socks......or the one that....

 Some people just have too much time on their hands...

I'm glad I'm one of them...
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. It is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Only I will remain.

unfortunatly, that isnt possible because the government doesnt believe they are intellegent enough to corrupt, i mean convert to democracy. they think they are little rodents to be controled population wise.

Youd be amazed, the number of gremlins that turn up when you arent looking for them - but you can never find them when you look for them!

Kinda like copper coins...

I dont think they should be killed, just tagged and studied for a bit to find what effect they have on our environments.

What effect they have? They make me have to inflate my tires every other day....

But the tagging is ok... Lets tag them using a 9mm tag, OK?

I didnt mean the direct effects, more the indirect stuff. Do they do any good? What would happen if we removed them all? That sort of thing.
