Um, I really did miss the point. Human waste? I had no idea you were talking about carbonated drinks. We call it 'cool drink'. Sorry, but it wasn't at all clear to me.

didn't think people would be so hard core to support drinking pop *shrugs* :?

Pop is definitely unhealthy, and caffeine especially. I don't drink caffeine ever. Caffeine isn't against my religion, but it's discouraged (I know a bunch of people in my religion who drink plenty of caffeine), so I did the research.

I thought you could get kicked out of BYU for drinking coffee / caffeinated tea, is that not right?

I mean, granted, that's a college, not the church, but still. I know you don't get excommunicated for it, from my understanding some Mormons treat drinking Mountain Dew almost the same way other people treat alcohol - like picking up a six pack of Mountain Dew means you're about to have a wild, taboo time. :D

Coffee and tea (green tea and I think black tea, whatever that is) are against the religion. Caffeine isn't. Herbal tea isn't; I've had herbal tea myself.

I know a couple people that seem to be overly addicted to Mountain Dew..I don't think the "about to have a wild, taboo time" thing holds much truth though, except that it's commonly known Caffeine can make you hyper. I've heard that comparison before though and I think it's a good one. :D

As stated previously, the daily amount of aspartame required to increase cancer risk in rats was so high that a human couldn't possibly consume that much in a day. It's one of those studies that's taken out of context and used as propaganda.

The only people benefiting from aspartame, are the drug companies that manufacture it. And possibly the governments who get extra dumb citizens thanks to it. It is quite a horrible neurotoxin, without even the added benefit of a good buzz. Not to mention what it does on the cellular level. Everything seems to cause cancer in the right quantity, so I won`t even get in on that. What really bothers me is the massive flouride poisoning of our water supplies.

What does this, so called propaganda have to gain by multiplying itself?
Are you suggesting there is a small conspiracy to get people to throw away products, that could help them with their obesity? I think it`s more likely there is a large conspiracy to dumb these people down and kill them off.

I think the high fructose corn syrup in soda, is probably the worst thing next to those. I try to drink throwback mountain dew personally.
