Rape or not?

Alright, the people at the Official Firefly Board are having a pretty good debate about an episode of Century City. In this episode, a guy uses a nano thing that takes on the image of women and can make it feel real. Well this guy happens to be screwing an image of a woman who did not consent with whoever took her image and put it into the nano thing. So she filed rape charges against the guy and in the end won I guess.
I just wanted to bring this topic over here to see what everyone thought. Was this actually rape? He never physically touched the woman in anyway. And if that is rape someone on the other board pointed out that then it is rape if anyone fantasizes(sp?) about someone in a sexual manner. I don't see it as rape as long as the person isn't actually physically being raped.
I never actually saw the episode of Century City so I'm just taking what was being said from the other board so if you did see it and what I heard is wrong then please correct me.

Bah, that's not rape. I can understand maybe her winning based on charges that her body was reproduced without her consent, but other than that.........

Honestly I find that to be a load of BS. I mean she was not physically touched in any way, and as Queen said the only reason she could get angry was from her body being used without consent. I think it is seriously a load of crap if she won the trial.....

sounds more like a breach of legal consent law's like you need to put a person's face on television or any advertising.

What if someone manufactures this life-like, extremely realistic doll...
So that'd be rape? And his wife would say it's adultery and files for divorce?

hell a robot women would be great if she started talking back ya just turn her off and lean her in the corner till you've finished playing on the PC and watching the game
