I pasted one of my short stories in which I deliberately imitated Poe's and Lovecraft's style. The result? Leo Tolstoy.

Actual attempts (not screwing around) from various things I have written have thrown me in with:

Dan Brown
Arthur Clarke (twice)
Vladimir Nabokov (this one confused me)

I suspect the algorithm is really dumb, for example counting letters per word, words per statement, and things like that :P

I had taken this once before on a different forum and whatever I c/p'd at that time gave me: Mario Puzo
