Kind of - not a daily player, but I'm around every now and then.


If there's anyone here that plays?

Used to play. I came to the realisation one day when mining for hours on end that this game is very repetitive and would become even more repetitive.. You mine, blow ships up and that's about it.. :/

If they had of made less ships, and instead you're a crewmember on a ship, and you explore planets etc, and one day you get a ship of your own.. then maybe I would have continued to play.

Ditto, I tried some of the missons too, but they sort of went, easy, easy, easy, challenging, hard as nails. So you would have to revert to hours of mining to upgrade your ship to the point where the missons were playable, but lost interest before this happened.

Plus I never liked the fact that nothing was solid when you used the hyperdrive thing to get around in a system, what's that? a space station you say, a planet? don't worry, just go straight through it.

I play freeAllegiance. It's free, requires a brain and there's no skill grinding.

Yeah, the unsolid planets are a bit weird.

As for the grind - you should have pushed for PvP. My main is a missioner by and large, because I don't have the time to spend sorting out PvP - and running a mission fills an easy 1/2 hour.

But running around in small or large fleets and causing a bit of havoc is great fun, and often surprising - you never know what you're gonna get.

I tried to get into the closed beta for it... that was years ago.

I used to play a bit. Still sort of redownload and revive my character for a month here and there....

My problem was that they used to have a premium and lite package; the light one worked perfectly on my laptop, but then they switched to just the premium one, which my graphics card seems to randomly hate and crashes the game here and there like that one fucking guy at an otherwise good party.

The good thing about the game is that you can there is a lot of specialization, etc. I was sort of forced by my computer's faults to stick with mission running, but if you are socially active you'll eventually run into some people that will really compliment your style, and teaming up in Eve is where I found the most fun. PvP is definitely best for that.

I liked to mine up those belts, used to plan mining schemes with a Norwegian mate. I liked to see the ISKs flowing into my account. I'd have continued playing if I had the time. Now my PC is obsolete with the new graphics, so I couldn't even try to re-trial so I could have a touch of it.

A nice game, beautiful. Will always be.
