Yep...made in THE china...apparently there must be a knockoff china somewhere....so they needed to be specific?

Well, it probably means the original China (that is the Republic of China aka Taiwan) not the cheap rip-off, the Peoples Republic of China.

Or... they just took 'Made in the USA' and replaced USA with China?
