Oh Calgary. Two days ago I wore a t-shirt outside when I shoveled the walk. And now this.

Don't worry, in 20-50 years you'll be sun tanning in January because of global warming!

I know! By then you'll be able to comfortably vacation the South Pole as well!

Wait, the south pole isn't a comfortable vacation spot?

I lol'd.

Anyway, thanks to global warming, this has been the darkest winter I've ever seen. Currently we have some snow but I think it's starting to melt away.

Aaaah! Just go to brazil, Zanthos. That way we can have the world healthy and still have chicks on bikinis.

It's naturally dark at winter up North because Earth's axle is tilted in an angle, so above the Arctic circle there is a period when the Sun doesn't rise at all, and below but nearby the circle the Sun is low and thus there are less light hours in a day. When there is snow on the ground, it reflects what ever light there is, be it artificial like street lights or natural like the stars. When the ground is uncovered it is dark and absorbs all the light so it's notably darker outside. Hence a black Christmas.

Here we are having the coldest winter in years. I'm in Guangxi, China, which is just about in the tropics and pretty hot almost all year round except this year it's getting really cold... It got down to 2*C a couple days back, that might not sound cold but you have to take into account that we don't have any insulation in the walls, no indoor heating, etc.

I'm starting to wish that global warming really is happening...

Edit: Just as another gripe, it's so wet here (it's been drizzling almost non-stop for the past couple of weeks) that it takes clothes almost a week to dry (nobody has driers because it is ussually so hot that clothes will dry in a couple of hours) so, ya, everybody kind of stinks from wearing the same clothes for days on end...

I still think the answer to global warming is nuclear winter.
