I know there's probably been a bazillion topics like this, but oh well.
Personally, I like the rock/hard rock/alternative genres.
Green Day, Neurosonic, A Perfect Circle, Rise Against, System of a Down, Billy Talent, etc... just stuff like that.
Unfortunately, in Montana country music is the 'thing', but I absolutely hate it. But alas, but I'm stuck with it. x]

Ah, Country's big in rural Alberta, but not so much in the cities. (And if I see Paul Brampt in another TV ad, I'll possibly hit throw a brick at myself.)
I'm into a variety of things, from Ska to Viking Metal, but my main musical drive is the metal scene. It's amazing how much of an adrenaline rush you can get from a simple thing such as soundwaves.

I mainly listen to musicals and metal. But preferably the kind of metal that includes singing and not just roaring. Cradle of Filth is an exception because a friend introduced me to that and because they have such fine melodic patterns in their songs, think about Bathory Aria for example. Currently I like Manowar a lot but I only have a few of their mp3's. I hear them on LaunchCast sometimes but at home I can't listen to LaunchCast because my connection sucks so bad and at my parents YIM keeps disconnecting every once in a while, several times a day.
I've used to like Blind Guardian, HIM and Nightwish but I don't like them that much anymore. I still listen to them but with Blind Guardian it annoys me that the singer can't pronounce the letter S, so it sounds like "killfs and destroyfs" in Battalions of fear. Also sometimes when I concentrate on listening to the drums then it sounds rather silly. HIM is... more fitting for emo teens. I may be emo sometimes but no longer a teen. I remember when I heard their version of Don't Fear the Reaper for the first time, I got the chills and that was totally amazing. But it's not the same anymore. Many of the songs are annoying and I don't want to hear them anymore. Nightwish was best in the past, I didn't like Century Child that much but I've gotten used to it. I think Wishmaster was the best. I'm not familiar with their later productions beyond hearing Wish I Had An Angel and Nemo on the radio.
Out of musicals I like Phantom of the Opera, CATS, Les Miserables and well, that's my top three. Might also mention Chicago and Moulin Rouge although I still haven't seen the latter. Other stuff I hear on LaunchCast every once in a while.

Personally I like my songs I wrote. My favourite band would be inertia because me and my friends created it... My favourte song would be "Dreams by me and my friends"

When I become famous you can all come to see me but you can pay.

I think there's probably more sub-genre's to Metal than almost any other type of music... and i love virtually all of them! Power/Speed Metal and Black Metal being my favs. Number 1 for now and all time is
Lost Horizon, other personal favourites are
Catamenia,
Dimmu Borgir and
Virgin Steele.
