Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

Postby fuschyou » Wed Jul 25, 2007 7:13 am

I thought the world we lived in had better morals....why can't a person voice what they want, where they want, however they want, to whoever they want?

You're basically a guest here on a forum owned by someone else. If you don't want to play by their rules, go buy your own hosting and set up your own forum with your own rules.

Shouldn't a right be something that can't be taken away?

Whenever you enter another person's home, do you go around crashing all stuff and eating everything you can find? If yes, I hope you get a big kick in the arse by the owner.

Bad analogy. Noone has the right to break things and eat everything inside of a person's house.

Uhm, but when registering here, you sign an online treaty of behaving, and since you have broken that agreement, you can be kicked out.

That is just backtracking on what I have been saying. If you care to add a new point that I haven't already countered feel free.

It's not a bad analogy. As I said, this forum is owned by someone who has liabilities to consider. Think of this as your neighbor's backyard. You can't just jump their fence and build a podium on their property for your free speech... If you're at your neighbor's house and they don't like what you're doing, you're sent away. The terms and conditions of use for the forum are quite clear.

Yet again, another bad analogy. I'm not jumping on their lawn putting up a sign. I'm expressing what should be a basic human right, freedom of speech. If you disagree with that, well then i'm sorry.

I wish you were dead, as well as whole your family. Hope you don't mind, I'm just using my freedom of speech.
