This is the news article from NewsChannel10:

"The search for a 4-year-old Amarillo boy who reportedly drowned in an area lake continues.

Search and rescue teams have worked non-stop looking through the waters at Lake Greenbelt near Clarendon to find Ethan Veale.

Veale was with family members Wednesday evening with the tragic accident happened. Strong winds reportedly pulled Veale away from the shore, he was on a floating raft.

When emergency crews arrived they found out the boy had fallen off the raft and into the lake at least 100 yards from shore.

Many are helping in the search including divers, cadaver dogs, a helicopter, sonar boats, and more.

Those involved say they are determined to find Veale and say they will continue to search until they do."

Ethan was a fun, loving, and energetic child who attended the daycare I work at. My last memory of him was when I went to visit that center, (I had switched to another by then) Ethan came running up to me, gave me a big hug and said "Miss Debbie! Are you gonna stay now?"

Please pray for his family and friends. Ethan is survived by his mother, an older sister, a twin brother, and his grandparents. Buttons and Bows daycare in Amarillo, TX is accepting donations for the family. Anyone wishing to help this family may send donations to :

It is quite tragic, I'm sorry to hear. It's good that you're trying to help by getting donations but I don't think the family needs to be making a profit off his death right now. :?

It happens every summer but of course it touches a person more if it's in the same town, even more if it was someone you knew. There were headlines just a few days ago how a toddler had drowned in a pond. The parents were thinking all the kids were inside and the door was closed, but somehow the little girl had gotten out and fallen from the jetty.

They're not making money off his death...It's the daycare I work for, raising money, to help with funeral and stuff. This stuff is going to cost this family a lot of money. That's why Buttons and Bows is raising money, the family is not asking for it, we're doing it out of kindness.

She's a teacher at the daycare.
